Question to the Breast Lift Community
I have a question and I’m hoping someone has had a similar concern or experience. I’m almost a month post op since my breast lift (no implants) and my bandages are all off. I am happy with my breasts but I see a significant difference from my left areola to my right. The left one looks perfectly round and nicely healed, but I’m disappointed in how the right side is looking. The areola looks smaller by quite a bit and it’s not as round or nicely shaped. They were equal or very close to equal in size pre-op so I’m not sure if the two areola healed differently or if one was reduced more than the other. I’m hoping someone can look and tell me their experience or thoughts. I can’t afford to have this fixed and I’m upset but I’m hoping maybe things will change as I continue to heal. The swelling isn’t gone so maybe things are slightly distorted still..,. Any advice would be very much appreciated!
First Follow Up Appt.
My first follow up appointment went well. Dr. Schutz took out the stitches that needed removed and I got a glimpse of my lifted breasts. I still haven’t seen my whole chest in a mirror without bandages/tape. They bandaged me up again to help with scarring. The strips they use must have some healing potential as I’m required to keep them on for another month! I was kinda bummed about that because I really wanted to see my breasts but I know patience is necessary with this process. My next appointment is in a month. I am allowed to shower freely now, which is wonderful! I am noticing some itching so I must be healing. So far, so good!
Breast Lift with Liposuction on Underarms
I am a 48-year-old mom of 3 and I breast-fed all of my babies for a year each. I was never perky but my breasts just felt like deflated balloons of fat hanging on my chest. I didn’t like the way my clothing fit, my shoulders had dents in them from the weight of my sagging breasts and I overall had a poor self image. Then I lost 65 pounds and it was even worse so I decided to consult with a plastic surgeon. I am a week post-op now and tomorrow I have my first follow-up appointment with my surgeon. I can’t wait to see what things look like once the bandages are off. The drains weren’t much fun but those are already out and now the stitches will be removed and I should be able to get a better idea of how I look and feel. I already know it was worth it. The pain was intense for the first 4-5 days but it is much better now. I still have some pain, bruising and swelling but I am happy with my decision so far. If you feel like I did don’t hesitate to consult with a trusted surgeon. Dr. Schutz and his team are awesome!
