1 week until surgery!

New me 2018
WORTH IT$5,425
I met with 2 more docs today and I’ve settled on Dr Ayuzo from Guadalajara. He comes to cabo each month and it just so happens he is here now and is returning Sunday! With the plans I already have for the summer, I will have exactly 6 weeks to heal from the surgery date! I’m extremely nervous and anxious. I keep thinking the worse! I’d hate for something to happen and the story my kids have to tell is this one. So let’s see what happens. In the mean time I’m 5’4. 138 pounds African American. According to VS I’m at 34D. In real life without padding... not so much

Congrats on your decision to have surgery! I also had a similar surgery. Do you mind sharing what type and size implants you’re going with? Also what kind of lift (anchor, vertical, Benelli) will you be getting? Any other details you have to share would be interesting to know.

Another day closer!

New me 2018
Today I had my labs! I’m trying to prepare for life after surgery but am still in shock that I’m doing this... a part of me wants to say screw it. But i see all of the nice boobs and I want them too. I used to have them. Then I had 2 kids and breastfed.

Anywho... I got the post opp and pre opp instructions today. And I my doula has agreed to come with me afterwards and before to help ease my nerves. I’m def on edge! Trying to think positive but in the back and middle of my mind I’m thinking the worse....

So does recap.... I’m 32 years old. African American living in MEXICO. I’m 5,4. And 137-140 pounds. Depends on the day! I’ll be getting 300cc gummybear teardrop boobies. Sub-glandular implants with breast lift.
I’m going to stay in the hospital overnight as the first 24 hours will be tough considering...
Can anyone provide me with insight on what to order online for the healing process? What type of scar treatment is best?

Good luck with your upcoming surgery! I also had a BL/BA so I know what you’re going through. Have you asked your PS for suggestions on postop healing products? I’m not an M.D. but I think the most important thing is to stick to healthy diet and stay well hydrated. According to the literature your body needs more calories, protein and water to heal the damaged cells. This is not the time to be losing weight. I was instructed to drink at least 2 Liters of water per day and eat lots of protein. I purchased a case of Orgain vegan protein drinks to supplement my diet and ensure that I got enough calories and protein. Wishing you the best! :-)

To add: as for the type of scar treatment it really depends on the individual and their sensitivities to the different products on the market. My personal preference is “Embrace scar therapy”. But I will say it’s not for everyone; some have found it quite irritating. I did initially have sensitivities with Embrace but I have figured out ways to work around it. Feel free to check out my both my BL/BA and Embrace scar therapy reviews if you’d like. You may appreciate some of the other info there even if you decide not to use Embrace. Good luck. :-)

Hi!! Im super excited for you!!!! You must be so excited, and nervous. The whole experience can/is very emotional. You will go through a range of emotions from now,,,through a good portion of your healing. I know you mentioned before that you have plans for summer, and you have 6 weeks to heal. I went on a cruise at, I believe, 3 months. A lift takes up to a year to heal completely. Internally, and all that. Im sure you will be fine with your plans at 6 weeks, provided there are no issues with healing. My biggest piece of advice that I can give you, is to follow your doctors instructions to the letter. Do everything they want you to do. Even if you don't like it, or its uncomfortable. Stay in the bra they want, for as long as they want. And don't mess around with your boobs a lot in the beginning. I was so fixated on mine, that I couldnt get out of the mirror! LOL! But, I didnt touch, handle, bother them at all. Only looked. You will want to stay very well hydrated, and make sure you are eating a very healthy diet. I recommend getting a travel pillow to help you sleep the first few nights. You will be sleeping sitting up, and that can be very uncomfortable (unless you have a recliner, or adjustable bed). Its helpful to have one of those pillows. Try to have everything ready in advance. Your medications. Books, magazines, your laptop. Make sure your clothes are all button up, so you don't have to try to take anything off/on over your head. Anything you need/want to have near your recovery area, so that you don't have to move a lot. The first few days are the hardest. Stick to your medications schedule. This surgery is TOTALLY worth it. You will also want to start thinking about scar therapy. Your doctor may have suggestions for you. Lots of women use different things. I use Scar Away silicone sheets. You just stick them on, and it helps with scars,,making them flat, and helping them fade. They are very inexpensive compared to some other options out there. Embrace Scar Therapy is another good one. I haven't tried them, but Ive seen great results. Pricey though. Please keep us posted on your journey. Ask questions if you want to. So many women on this site helped me through my journey, and so many women are here to help you. Even if you just wanna talk about how you are feeling. It was an incredible experience. Take care!! Looking forward to following you!!! :)

Eek! My doc said no alcohol after Friday (today)! So I’m going to enjoy myself! Taking these saggy girls on a boat around the arch for one final run! My emotions are like a roller coaster! One moment I’m excited. The next I’m thinking wth is wrong with me! I’m def preparing for next week. I had my last maternity session client last night! I should probably find out when I’ll be able to lift my camera again...

I purchased a chair pillow thingy for sleeping and some “itworks” defining gel and scar away silicone sheets from amazon. My doc says I won’t need anything for a while and I’m not allowed to massage or touch the new boobs for a few weeks! He actually recommends some laser treatment instead of massage but I don’t think we have that here in Cabo.

I tried on a swimsuit without padding and took a photo... I cannot wait to see the comparison pic in a few weeks!

Here are some wish pics! And the photos with 4 is my docs work....
