Very Unpleasant Experience!
Very Unpleasant Experience!
I traveled from USA to have a mommy makeover procedure done by Dr. Mejia after following a recommendation from a Dr’s office staff located in the same building where his office is, and by seeing his work on Instagram (which of course, I now realize surgeons only post their best work)
To make story short the communication with this dr was very poor. He does not make sure you obtain the results that you want...meaning he does not physically show you how your new boobs would look like.. he just asks: what size do you want them? When we all know what it can be big for me could be small for someone else and the size of the breasts would look different depending on your body frame. After surgery, my boobs were extremely small!
Besides he did not want to do the tummy tuck because for him my hemoglobin was too low. I am not complaining about that because if he was not comfortable it was better that way...things happen for a reason...but imagine my disappointment; not only I was not getting everything I had planned to get done after so much sacrifice ( time out of work, leaving family behind, money spent on the trip...) I was also disappointed with the breast lift results...and he overcharged me!!!
After a lot of consideration I decided to have him replace my implants for a bigger ones one week and a half after the fist procedure....and guess what? he charged me almost half of the original amount ! At the end I paid for two separate breast lifts.... I did it just because I really didn’t want to be completely unhappy with this experience. My natural boobs were uneven...more than normal.....It’s been a year after my breast lift and one breast is way bigger than the other. It means he did not take in consideration that important fact at the time of choosing the size of the implants....now I know he should have used a bigger implant on the small breast.
Very Disappointing experience with this Dr. People just don’t go by what the surgeons show on their websites, or social media...go with doctors that you can talk face to face, build rapport and those who make the effort to understand what it is what you want and need ! Also do a lot of research on what you need to get done based on your own personal needs and... do not assume they would tell you what it is.....because some of them like in my case won't.
