7 years post-op - pregnancy update
I wanted to add an update to show how much my breasts have changed during my first pregnancy, as I would've appreciated this when I was researching into the procedure myself. Please note I am still pregnant at the moment and have not started breastfeeding yet. I am still experiencing numbness under both breasts and occasional mild nerve pain in my left nipple. Hopefully I can still breastfeed despite the nerve damage.
The first notable change is the drooping of the breasts. They have become a lot heavier and thus hang slightly further apart than before. They seem to be looking further away from each other again now, which they did before my op.
The second notable change is how dark my nipples have become. I have always had pinkish/orange nipples, now they are brown.
The third notable change is the increase in the size of my nipples. Due to the drooping and increase in size, my nipples now sit right at the bottom of my breasts, not leaving much of the round shape or "underboob" visible underneath.
You might also notice I have melasma which are the tiny dark spots that have formed around both nipples. This is normal during pregnancy and should hopefully dissappear afterwards.
I didn't realise that breasts changed this much during pregnancy, I always thought it would be the breastfeeding as the cause, but apparently it's due to hormonal changes.
Despite these changes I still have absolutely no regrets about my surgery. The aim of the surgery for me was to reduce the triangular appearance and have a more natural rounded appearance to my breasts which is still present. My breasts are now looking more natural than ever! I am looking forward to seeing how my body changes again after pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The Real Results: 3 Years and 2 Months later
Appearance:
My breasts have a round shape underneath the nipple from the implants which is the main feature I wanted to achieve.
They have settled more into their pockets, meaning that the cleavage is less, as my natural anatomy meant that my breasts and pockets were further away from each other. I opted for low profile round implants, because I wanted this more natural look - usually people cannot tell I have implants, I get asked occasionally when I am wearing something low-cut that squishes them together because this makes it a bit more obvious.
Although my right breast had a slightly smaller implant to try and combat this - it still hangs a bit lower and larger than my left breast, but its only slight and pays compliment to my natural anatomy, which doesn't bother me.
Scarring:
My scarring and nipples are less bright and pink/raw now, the nipples are a nice dark pink/orangey colour to match my skin tone, and the scars have healed white. I gave naturally olive skin so I think the scars appear quite light due to the contrast. The scars from the incisions underneath the breasts are very difficult to spot, and they sit in the crease anyway.
Sensation:
I have some nerve damage, which is definitely something to consider when you're weighing up the benefits and risks of the procedure.
Funnily enough my right nipple has healed with more sensation than it ever had before. Its quite sensitive but that's a good thing for me personally.
In contrast, my left nipple is still completely numb to any stimuli touching the surface of my skin. However, when it is squeezed or pulled I feel a deep nerve pain from somewhere inside.
Furthermore, the skin on the southern hemispheres of both of my breasts is completely numb.
Overall:
I am very happy with the appearance of my breasts and they have greatly improved my confidence. The results are amazing given my natural anatomy, so many thanks to my Plastic Surgeon.
