Tuberous Breast Correction with Implants!

I don't think that I can describe in words how amazing this entire journey has been with Dr. Kolker and all his staff but I will try my best. I first came across Dr. Kolker's website because I was looking into the ideal implant, and he is listed on their website. I met with him for a virtual consultation back in March, and I knew immediately that he would be my surgeon. During that meeting he listened to all of my questions, and emitted such warmth and empathy which is hard to do through zoom but I felt completely seen and heard the entire time. I had my in person consultation in May, and again was met with kindness, complete understanding and compassion from his entire staff. Dr. Kolker is very thorough, and gave me facts to help support my decision and did not try to persuade me at any time to go for a size I didn't want. I told him I just wanted a very natural look, to go with modest implants and was more interested in saline than silicone because of the silent rupture that occurs with silicone implants. He was so patient with me and let me feel different types of implants, and supported me with my decision either way- he listened to exactly what I wanted and delivered!

Lindsay and Sabrina were amazing in the early stages filtering my questions and handling my appointments, and always were patient with me through email and through the phone. Katta and Ashley were my nurses and I couldn't have asked for better nurses! They were incredibly patient and supportive with me the entire process from our in-person consultation, to easing my worries on my actual surgery day, to making sure I had everything I needed after my surgery. About 3 days after my surgery, I had tried to reach Dr. Kolker on a Sunday due to some recovery hiccups and left a voicemail to the office number, and he called me back within 10 minutes on his personal cell phone to check in on my recovery!

Regarding the surgery- this is my first ever surgery EVER- but the entire experience was seamless. On my surgery day Dr. Kolker, my nurses and the anesthesiologist spoke with me before hand and gave me time to address any last minute questions and concerns. Once they went over the procedure in detail, I was led to the operating area and next thing you know it I was waking up in the recovery room! It felt like seconds had gone by. I woke up with minimal discomfort, and was provided a post surgical bra to wear along with some drainage tubes and instructions on how to care for them. I also received a list of instructions for things to avoid and vitamins to take for the first two weeks.

I honestly only took the pain medication the first 3 nights and then was able maintain the discomfort with Tylenol. By Day 5 I was off the Tylenol and felt more like myself. One week post op, I went back to the office to remove the tubes (just be ready for some discomfort, LOL) and I was instructed to switch to the Victoria Secret Knockout Bra or the SheFit Maximum Support Bra, to wear all day and then a more comfy bra like the fruit of the loom post surgical bra to sleep in. At my two week mark I started my displacement breast exercises which are VERY important- so please take them seriously. At first it was a little uncomfortable, but now I can do them in my sleep with no discomfort at all.

At every stage of the healing process, everyone was very accessible through email and phone, and always took the time to answer my questions and never not once made me feel like an annoyance.
I am now 1 month post op and I can't even tell you how amazing my breasts look and feel even at this early stage of healing. I received 200cc in both breasts through an areolar incision placed under the muscle. I was not even a full 32 A cup before the procedure and now am a very beautiful 32/34 B cup. My incisions at this stage have healed so beautifully that it's hard to believe they didn't always look like this honestly. I have been blown away by the level of respect and compassion Dr. Kolker and his staff have shown me in the past few months that I have come to know them.

I know that this is so deeply personal, especially for those of us who have deformities for whatever reason, but Dr. Kolker is a master at what he does, and honestly if your're already at this site thinking of doing this- go for it! I look at my breasts now and I cant even picture what they looked like before- there is no trace of my tuberous breasts! Anyone reading this who is looking for reconstructive surgery on their breasts or just breast augmentation in general- please please do your research and find a board certified surgeon. Please save your money and do whatever you need to and go to someone who is LEGIT, and also super qualified and going to take care of you the entire way. If I could recommend Dr. Kolker to everyone, I would because he is just a genuine person who treats you like a human being and listens to all your concerns and worries, and then brings your dreams to life. I am so so so happy I met him and his team, they have changed my life for the better!
