Completely trust the skill of my surgeon - perfect results

I absolutely love Mexico and speak a little Spanish and was excited to go there for my breast lift and augmentation surgery. I thought i would book myself but I ended up booking with My Medical Vacations and I'm glad I did. Their services were amazing: perfect English, perfect coordination of my 6 or 7 pre and post op tests and appointments, driving everywhere, daily contact with a nurse, and accommodations included which I loved and I was really taken care of the whole time. I stayed for 3 days before the surgery and 7 days after. Their communication has been outstanding even after a month post op. The nurse answers all my texts quickly and passes on my concerns/photos to surgeon. The ability to truly rest and recover would only have been possible by traveling away from my busy family life. It wasn't a vacation but it was relaxing and restorative. So....pricing. My ba/bl in my home city in Canada was quoted as 18k Canadian (about $13 500k in US). The surgery I paid for was 8k US ($10500 Canadian) but I also paid over $500 for airfare, $800 for fancy schmancy medical tourism insurance, and probably $500 for meals and groceries. I THOUGHT this was an excellent deal but have since learned that I could have traveled four hours from home and paid 12k Canadian or traveled elsewhere in Mexico and paid significantly less. Thats been a buzzkill for me. The fact is my Surgeon, Dr. Valdez, is extremely qualified and an artist and I'm grateful for the restful time away from home and the fantastic service of the medical tourism team. Btw all English speaking.

Complications? Yup I had several once I arrived back in Canada. Definitely no fault of the surgeon. Complications are more stressful when you can't pop over to the surgeon's office for a quick check! Everything has been dealt with easily by photos and texts but for anxious types I definitely recommend staying closer to home for surgery.

In summary I believe the medical attention and care I received during the entire surgical experience in Cancun surpasses North America but there is more stress involved in some ways (flying home slightly tricky but airline gave me a wheelchair and hustled me around)

I COMPLETELY trust the skill of my surgeon, he is certified top notch. I will say he was more conservative with the size of my implant than I wanted to be but in the end he listened to me and I'm so glad he did. They are PERFECT.
