18 months out

Hey everyone! So it’s been about 18 months since I had my first initial surgery, and it’s been such a long, exhausting, and expensive journey that I didn’t expect. All in all, it was not the best experience! So I had the surgery with Dr.Laverson and he assured me I was going to get the breast of my dreams. His staff was incredibly friendly and his bedside manor was great. However, I did not get the results I was promised. A few months after my surgery I noticed a dent beginning to form on my left breast. The doctor recommend we do a fat transfer to that area, all while awake. I agreed, thinking it would be a simple, non invasive procedure. Boy was I wrong. It hurt so bad, I could literally feel the tools he was using, coming in and out of my stomach. It was awful. But I survived, and was happy cause I thought this would fix all my breast issues. Nope! I got an infection about 3 days after the procedure and it was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced! My breast began leaking infected fat. When I went to my follow up appointment the doctor had to drain all the fat out and I had a tube hanging out for a few days to let the rest drain out. Thankfully antibiotics saved the implant and I didn’t need to have an additional surgery to remove the implant! At the next appointment we discussed where to go from there. The doctor tried convincing me that another fat transfer would be my best bet, but I just couldn’t agree after what I had been through. So we decided to just apply a “filler” in that area. We went with Sculptra. I don’t think that a filler would’ve ever been enough to save that breast. The initial surgery itself cost 9000. I had to pay for the fat transfer that gave me an infection, which was about 1000-1700. I can’t remember the exact price. And I also had to pay for the filler which was close to another 1000. The doctor knew I was a young single mother, and that this was definitely an investment for me. But I though it would be worth it because I wouldn’t have any insecurities about my breast. However I’m even MORE insecure about my breast now, and I’m still paying over $400 a month! I wouldn’t be complaining about the cost, if I actually got the breast I was promised. I’m not trying to bash anyone. I’m only here to share my experience, and unfortunately it was a bad one. I will post my current after pictures and you will be able to see the dent, how stretched out my scars are, and how sad they look now.

4 week update

Hey girls! I’m a little over 4 weeks post op now. My open wounds are still healing. This recovery is a lonnngggg process, but I’m hopeful that they will heal beautifully. I just want my open wounds to fully close up.

Officially 3 weeks post op

Just want to share some pics since I finally hit the 3 week mark! ????

I have met with Dr.Laverson for a consultation, and he and his entire team were lovely, especially Cherise(she was such a sweetheart!). He was very thorough about what would be best for my body. He really listens to what you want and will be honest about how to achieve your goals. I have my surgery scheduled for June 1, and I am literally counting down the days because I am so excited! I will keep you posted after surgery! Can’t wait! (:
