6 months post op and my results seem to get worse with time

I could honestly write a short story on my experience with this practice, but none the less, this process has been extremely traumatizing for me. I got a BBL from Dr. Horowitz in January of 2023 and I got my breast lift/augmentation in Aprill of 2023. My BBL initially looked good, but almost a year later, I have significant fibrosis on my stomach and very minimal results. I paid extra for the lipo to extend above my bra line and it doesn't even look like any lipo was done in that area. Although the staff at the MIA location in Baltimore is very nice and attentive, the way that the location is operated is chaos. I stayed in the area for surgery to avoid the wild wild west of plastic surgery in Miami, and got the same treatment that I tried to avoid. The day after my surgery, barely able to function, I had to wait almost 2 hours to see Dr. Horowitz for my post op appointment. The same thing with the 4 week follow up. Mind you, you are unable to sit down after a BBL, and your body is so weak that it puts tremendous strain on the body.

Because I originally liked the results of my BBL, I decided to get my lift and augmentation that following April. I should have RAN out of there when the morning of my breast augmentation, Dr. Horowitz, didn't even remember who I was. When I started talking about my BBL, he literally asked me where I went to get my surgery. Mind you, I just got my BBL from him 90 days prior. This is how you know that this place is nothing more than a cosmetic surgery factory, and none of the doctors here truly care about their patients or their results. They try to push as many girls in and out of there as fast as possible, regardless of how they feel about their results. Because these types of clinics have so much availability (because they reduce surgery times to 1.5 hours instead of 4,) they make sure to get their patient's deposit when they are in the moment and anxious to get their surgery done. Mind you, they take this substantial amount of money, without even having a doctor SEE their patient or get an initial consultation. The whole process is so backwards. You cannot properly assess someone or make a proper assessment of their needs without seeing a patient in person. I now understand this after now dealing with a surgeon that had a wait time of a YEAR for a consultation. Rightfully so, he takes time explaining to his patients that some people will not get the results they want with just one surgery, sometimes it takes multiple procedures in order to repair skin/muscle/fat. This is not and will NEVER be the treatment you get from any surgeon at MIA Aesthetics. The fact that I can't even see my doctor to address my 6 month post op results, shows you how little they care about their patients.

My results for my breast are nothing short of horrendous. From the moment I got out of surgery, I could tell my right implant sat higher than my right implant, and when you bring your concerns up to Dr. Horowitz, they always assure you to be patient and wait at least 6 months for them to settle. Besides the obvious difference in my implants, my right nipple and areola looked completely different from my left. It literally looked like two different people did the two different breasts. It felt like he let his surgical assistant practice on me or something, that's how awful it looked. My nipple was crooked, bigger than my left, and the sutures on my right breast were on the outside of my skin, not the inside like my left breast. It looked like something out of a horror film, a Frankenstein breast.

During my healing, the sutures were so excessive in my right breast and so poorly done, that my skin started rejecting the sutures and spitting them out of my skin. I had to have these removed by Dr. Howitz because they began oozing puss. This continued after 4 months of healing, stitches were still ejecting from my right breast constantly leaving me with thick red scarring that extends below both of my breasts, around my areola, and down the middle of my breast. At my appointment I'm once again told that they would heal properly and look the same, and to not worry.

I am now 6 months post op and my results seem to get worse with time. I have now consulted with another amazing cosmetic surgeon in my area, and was told that I should've most likely had my lift done first, waited 6 months, then added the implant back in once my lift was completely healed because of my skin laxity. The scarring from my surgery is awful, painful, and my breasts, especially my right breast, still throb with shooting pains randomly. The implant in my right breast is so badly done, that it moves around into my armpit every time I lift my arms up. When I work and use my chest muscles, I can actually see my implant moving around in my chest. The scarring is getting progressively worse, and I now know that it is because I was not a good candidate to do a lift and augmentation simultaneously, some people are, but everyone is different and I am not dealing with the consequences of rushing to do a surgery by a surgeon who is more than willing to take your money, and leave you heartbroken and disappointed. I had a very pretty chest prior to this surgery, and now I look mutilated. I paid almost 8k for my lift and augmentation in April 2023, and I am now going to most likely dish out another 20k to fix the damage that was done by Dr. Horowitz.

Now 6 months post op, I find out that Dr. Horowitz now practices in NY and not in the Baltimore location I got my work done at. So, I don't even get a 6 month post op appointment with my surgeon, and give him a piece of my mind. I can't explain how awful it feels to trust a medical professional with your life, and trusting them with your body, all to be treated like you don't matter. If you are considering getting a cosmetic procedure done, do yourself a favor and work with a surgeon that truly cares about you and you results. If you ever feel rushed, pressured, or like you are just another girl that's getting work done, just don't go through with it. Even if you have to wait for a doctor that has a long wait list, just know that there is a reason for that.
