Week 5 Update
I’m noticing my right starting to drop a bit more...yay, it’s catching up to the left side! My areolas still look unevenly shaped but I’m hopeful that once they completely settle, they’ll look a bit better. I’m using silicone strips for the scars (I have them on in the pic I posted). I still have some tenderness on the right breast and I’m getting little zingers here and there to my nipple. Other than that, it’s been pretty uneventful, which I’m happy about.
I probably could have gone a little bigger, but I am happy with the size. I debated between the 330cc and 310cc and ultimately decided that I could live with them being a bit too small than a bit too big. If I want to “dress them up”, a push-up bra can certainly do that. With this size, I still feel very natural and no one can tell I had a BA since I was wearing super padded bras before anyway! Really happy I did this - just wish I hadn’t taken so long to finally decide.

4 Week Update
Drop and fluff is happening VERY slowly. I haven’t had any issues with healing. I’m still sleeping on my back and taking it easy, just doing light work around the house. The only thing that’s bothering me is that the shape of my areolas is uneven. One is sort of round-ish and the other is more oval. I did ask about this at my 3 week follow-up and Dr. Jugenberg assured me that they would even out. I’m trying to be patient with this but as they’re healing, I’m not seeing them even out. The implants are still sitting a bit high so I’m massaging them every day in hope that the D & F will come soon! I’m looking forward to working out in a couple of weeks! Not exercising has been tough. That’s all for now!
3 weeks post op
I went to Dr. Jugenberg’s office yesterday for my 3 week post-op appt to get my sutures out. It was a very quick appointment - was in and out in about 15 min. He said everything looks fine. I was a little concerned about my areolas (especially the right one) as the shape looks a bit “off” to me. He said once the stitches are removed and it heals, it will look good. I’m hoping they even out a bit as the inner part of the areola doesn’t look rounded right now. I noticed today that the nurse forgot to take one of my stitches out. So I’ve emailed them today but have not heard back. Not sure how that could have been missed. I didn’t notice at the time as it’s under my nipple.
He showed me how to start massaging to encourage them to move down, so I did that several times yesterday and today. My right is still sitting pretty high - my BWD was smaller on that side as well, so I think it’s going to take longer to move down. Hopefully they’ll drop soon. They are a bit sore and tender at the incision sites but that’s to be expected just 3 weeks out.
I’ve switched over from a surgical bra to a cozier bra with no underwire. Dr.J said that I’ll have to wear some type of bra (even to bed) pretty much forever! He also said I can start exercising at 6 weeks so I’m half way there! I asked about scar treatment and he said anything with silicone is fine to start using. If anyone has any recommendations for silicone scar therapy, I’m open to suggestions.
Not much else to report. I’ll keep updating...can’t wait for the drop and fluff!!
