Traveled from CA for Dr. O - The Easiest, Least Painful Surgery I've Ever Had
...And just to make it clear, the only surgeries I've ever had are my wisdom teeth removed and my gallbladder removed.
I traveled from California to see Dr. Ortegon for my procedure. It was a breast augmentation but also a lift on one side.
The virtual consult was super easy, and when I got to San Antonio, the visit I had in person to do the Vectra scan and sizing with Dr. O were all smooth and very informative. I was very well aware of everything that would be happening both in the consult and then bigger picture for surgery, and was made to feel comfortable through all of it. Huge shout out to Monica for working scheduling magic and appeasing my concerns about "being in too much pain to travel" - I literally laugh at myself in hindsight for being worried about that, because this procedure was really that easy.
Surgery was so smooth and fast! I arrived at 2PM on a Tuesday afternoon for a 3PM scheduled surgery and I was out of there by 5PM. I will mention that I do really well on anesthesia and didn't need the nausea meds for afterwards... I was hungry. I only took the Tylenol #3 for the first two days and switched to regular tylenol after that. I flew back to California on Friday afternoon.
As of today I'm 2 weeks and 1 day post op and I can truly say this was close to painless. It's a lot more discomfort than anything.. I mean like, I just got these big new boobs where I didn't have much going on before so the weight of them, the sensation of them bouncing when you go down the stairs, rolling onto your side... it's all weird. Not painful, but just strange. It takes getting used to for sure. It's not really that they hurt, its that you can just... feel them? If that makes sense.
Anyway, I took the tape off the incisions yesterday at the direction of my wonderful nurse Cynthia and it's all healing really nicely. I know everything doesn't really settle to its final form until around 3 months and since I had a lift done on one side, there's still bruising and swelling on that side, but even still I am so thrilled with the results. They look SO GOOD. The cleavage is top tier, the way they shaped my body and gave me a waist is so fire... all the way around, chef's kiss. THANK YOU DR. O!!!!
I've never had plastic surgery before but I definitely felt like a real housewife rolling up to the fancy Boerne surgery center and being so well taken care of all the way across the board. This was an incredible experience all the way around with amazing results.
