Clarification on Breast Lift and Implant Procedure
WORTH IT
In my previous post, I referenced that Dr. Gabbay had encountered "complications" during surgery while doing my left breast lift and implant. I just want everyone who reads my post to know that there was NO "complication". I should have been more clear in my description and NOT used that word. What it actually was is that I have very dense breasts (which is very common in most women) and my left breast had more tissue to work with and needed to be adjusted more to fit the implant.
As Dr. Gabbay had told me during my very first consultation, "NO TWO BREASTS ARE IDENTICAL......THEY ARE SISTERS, NOT TWINS!"
So knowing that bit of wise wisdom, Dr. Gabbay took/takes great pride on making sure that the outcome for my breasts would not only be well balanced, but the symmetry perfect and I would have the breast implants that would fit my body like I wanted.
I can't thank Dr. Gabbay enough for the great job he did and I can only express how happy I am with my new breasts! I can now just age "gracefully"!

Extremely Happy! My Experience Was An Adventure That Was Well Worth It!!!
I intended to write this review many months ago, as my surgery was on October 3, 2019, but time flies by and before you know it, it's been almost one year later.
Anyway, first I must say Dr. Joubin Gabbay is amazing! He and his wonderful team (Melissa, Kelly and Stephanie) continuously met or exceeded my expectations all throughout the process from the first consultation, to the surgery, then the post-op care, right up to now. They have always treated me with respect, kindness and thoughtfulness, wanting me to be perfectly happy, comfortable and satisfied.
I researched many surgeons before selecting Dr. Gabbay, and his approach and attitude fit me just right. After carefully listening to me about what I was looking to accomplish, his honest assessment of what he felt would be best for me, as I am 5'4", 135 lbs., 54 years old, and had one child, of which I never breastfed, confirmed that I made the right choice in selecting him. And of course his sense of humor, well, he was charming, funny and helped keep my spirits high even when I was struggling with some minor nagging pain throughout my recovery. If you follow him on Instagram, you will see what you will get: a very sincere doctor who cares about his patients.
On the day of the surgery I was nervous, of course. Dr. Gabbay and his surgical assistants were very professional and explained everything before we began. I must say it helped to have seen so many examples of Dr. Gabbay's surgeries on his Instagram stories, that helped me realize what I was in for. The surgery center was beautiful and totally state of the art. My husband accompanied me that day and was very comfortable in the waiting room/lobby while I was in surgery. A kind of funny aside is when my husband was in the lobby, he said Dr. Gabbay came in with a huge box full of various size implants and promised my husband that he would find the "perfect" fit for my body. My husband responded by saying "go as big as you can Doc," and they both laughed. Dr. Gabbay did just that, too, which is exactly what I wanted!
I did have two (2) separate procedures that day. The first procedure was a bit of abdominal liposuction and "J-Plasma," also called Renuvion. The second procedure was a breast lift (lollipop incision) with silicone implants. I was given detailed instructions well in advance for how to prepare for these two (2) procedures.
The first procedure was the liposuction and the J-Plasma. After this procedure, Dr. Gabbay took a short break to give my body a bit of time to "rest" prior to starting the breast procedure and to make sure that I was "draining" properly (of which I did not have any drains put in, just incisions of which they were monitoring). Then Dr. Gabbay returned and started on my breast lift and implants. He had a bit of a complication with my left breast, but when all was done I was very well balanced and the symmetry we desired was accomplished. I was then moved the recovery room for a while to be monitored and brought out of the anesthesia. Dr. Gabbay made sure I was doing well and further explained more to my husband and me what we should do that night and the following days. Once I was cleared to be released from the surgery center, the team helped me to the car to head to a nearby hotel (Beverly Hills Waldorf Astoria) for the night. I was still a bit woozy from the anesthesia, but mostly I was tired and just wanted to rest. The following day I went back and met with Dr. Gabbay and he checked his work out to make sure that I didn't have any issues, which I did not, then he said I was cleared to head home to finish my recovery.
My recovery has had its ups and downs, but other than being unable to raise my arms over my head or get back to my Pilates classes for a few weeks, it was really pretty good. I did lose some feeling in my lower back, as Dr. Gabbay disclosed to me may happen with J-Plasma, but it has slowly returned. My scarring has improved with lots of attention due to the use of taking Arnika Forte Capsules and using Skinuva Scar cream and also SkinMedica Scar Recovery Gel. Dr. Gabbay has mentioned to me that there is a "scar camouflage" procedure that is offered by a respected provider near his office which I am contemplating doing.
After my surgery, I have had several post-op visits with Dr. Gabbay and his team. They all make me and my husband feel like family every time we see them, and knowing they are there for me if I ever have questions or need anything is so wonderful.
Overall, I am very happy with my results. I do feel more confident in my appearance and I am glad I went ahead and got these two procedures done. As one of my close friends told me, "if you are going to get a boob-job, get it done sooner rather than later and then just age gracefully." That was great advice and I suggest that for anyone thinking about doing it.
Lastly, I have no hesitation to recommend Dr. Gabbay and his team for your plastic surgery procedures.
Thank you so much Dr. Gabbay, Mellisa, Kelly, Stephanie and the whole Gabbay Plastic Surgery team!!
