Seeing another doctor!
Thrusday im going to go see another doctor to see what he says , hopefully I finalize the plan with him so I won’t have to travel.

Overthinking

I don’t think you’re overthinking. As you get closer to the surgery and realize the risks involved you give serious thought to who is going to be doing the surgery as well as the location. Not to mention BL/BA surgery has a very high revision rate. Just curious who is Joshua Westchester? I’m unable to find his name. Are you sure you’re spelling it correctly? In any case if you found a PS locally that you feel comfortable that would be the preferred option, imo. My two cents. :-)
good morning , It’s !Joshua Greenwald, MD, FACS!!! he practices in Westchester which is really close to me, instead of having to flight and stay away from my family (hubby) I’m going to go check him out. when I started looking for doctors it was with a friend of mine but here in NYC is more expensive than Miami. I have family there who has gotten surgery with kru and they look bomb, but that friend just got hers done BL/BA and they look sooo good! I was actually reading his reviews and they are extremely good! so im going to go see him next week and from there I will makeup my mind. I keep you guys-posted here.

Thanks for the clarification. I see that Dr Greenwald is a top core PS here with very high ratings! He also doesn’t have any malpractice suits or complaints on the Internet. Good luck with your appointment. :-)

Look forward to hearing more. Btw I should mention that I actually traveled for my surgery, so it’s not as though I’m opposed to traveling. The reason I traveled is because the PS I went with is considered to be one of the highest rated BL surgeons in this country; I felt he would do a better job than any of the PS in my area. It was not about saving money. In fact cost me more to travel. In any case I do think if you can find as good (or better) PS locally that would be the better option especially given the complexity of the BL surgery and it’s high revision rate. Good luck.
I was on the fence between Dr. Greenwald and going to Miami. I did a consultation with Greenwald, great doctor but wasn’t for me. Going to Miami after all. keep us posted on your journey!
