WORTH IT
I came to the consultation with one goal in mind: to restore my natural breast volume and improve the overall shape of my breasts. Due to significant weight fluctuations over the years, they had lost much of their fullness and firmness. There was also noticeable sagging, especially in my right breast. It was most obvious when I wore a swimsuit or had no support. In a bra, however, everything still looked quite good because I naturally had breast tissue. At the time of my consultation, I was approximately a B cup, with my right breast being slightly larger.
Before my consultation, I had already done a lot of research about breast implants. I had heard countless positive reviews about Motiva implants and learned that they are considered among the best on the market. Their reputation for being incredibly durable, soft, and natural really stood out to me. One feature I especially loved was how they mimic the behavior of natural breast tissue—they gently settle when you’re standing and naturally spread when you lie down instead of remaining perfectly round or overly firm. That was exactly the kind of result I was hoping for, so I was genuinely happy when my surgeon recommended Motiva as well.
When I arrived at the clinic, I was taken to a private changing room with my own locker and was given a robe to change into. After getting ready, I was escorted to the consultation room, where a translator accompanied me throughout the appointment.
I explained my concerns, what I wanted to improve, and the overall look I was hoping to achieve. I had also prepared several reference photos of the kind of result I liked—a fuller breast that still looked elegant, proportional, and completely natural without being overdone.
The Dr. Jang carefully examined me, took detailed measurements, and recommended Motiva implants with a specific profile to restore the volume I had lost. We decided on submuscular placement (under the muscle) to create the most natural-looking result.
I also needed a breast lift. For my left breast, the surgeon believed that a periareolar lift (around the nipple) would be sufficient. However, because the sagging on my right side was more pronounced, there was a possibility that an anchor lift might be necessary. Dr. Jang reassured me that she would do everything possible to avoid it, but she couldn’t promise that both breasts could be lifted using only an incision around the areola. She explained that the final decision would only be made during surgery, once the implants had been placed and the new breast shape could be properly assessed.
(P.S. Dr. Jang did her best Considering I only had a periareolar lift on both breasts, the result is incredible!)
Throughout the consultation, the surgeon asked me many questions to fully understand the result I wanted. Of course, I had just as many questions for her—after all, this was my first surgery. She patiently explained absolutely everything, even the smallest and most basic details, making sure I understood every step of the process. That gave me so much confidence and reassurance. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon, and I’ll always be grateful for how caring, patient, and thorough she was.
Finally, we stood in front of a mirror and began trying different implant sizers. I tried on four different pairs, comparing how each size looked on my frame. After discussing proportions and symmetry, we decided on 300 cc for my right breast and 340 cc for my left breast, creating the most balanced result while taking into account the natural asymmetry I already had. The final choice was exactly what I had envisioned—full, feminine, proportional, and most importantly, very natural.
Since I had already decided to undergo a subtle rhinoplasty to refine the bridge of my nose, we also discussed combining both procedures. Instead of going through general anesthesia twice and recovering from two separate surgeries, we decided to perform both the breast surgery and rhinoplasty on the same day under a single general anesthetic. It felt like the most practical and efficient decision—one surgery, one recovery, and one healing journey.
