All is well

WORTH IT$8,700
My open areas closed by 1 month. My pic is at 6 weeks last Thursday. They are soft and squishy. I'm very happy with how everything looks. I still have some mild swelling especially at the end of an active day to the lower portion along the scar. My nipple sensitivity seems to be pretty normal on the left and diminished on the right but it isn't bothersome. I have a few spots in my breast that are a little sore that I only notice during massage. I'm back to exercise. Everything is pain free but pushups feel weird so I don't do them. I also haven't attempted pullups. I have only hung from the bar briefly without any kipping. I do my plank on my knees in yoga. I am still in wireless bras until 3 months, no wires or sports bras. I only can wear a sports bra breifly while working out for now.

Sick all week

Fattofitmomof4
Feeling a little better today but I've been sick all week. On the plus side it has taken some of my focus off my boobs. My open areas are looking much better nearly completely healed. I emailed pics to the doc just to make sure I shouldn't be doing anything differently. Also because I noticed there are areas that look reddened but when you look close it is small blood vessels that are more pronounced in the last week. I wasn't sure if that was increased inflammation from topicals or sutures vs normal for this stage of healing. They said that was normal and to just keep with the bacitracin/gauze on the open areas. I figured that was the case but I didn't want to not ask and find out later I could have done something differently and had a nicer scar. The office is always great about getting back to me and not making me feel silly for overthinking things. Love them so much! My breast have dropped more and are feeling softer. I still have swollen tissue particularly the lower middle of my breasts and some revolving bruising. I have been resting all week because I've been sick but I feel like I could easily do much more activity. So maybe it was nature's way of slowing me down lol. I didn't fiddle much with pics today. They are at weird angles on a cloudy poor lighting day. So I think they look better than what the pics show but to be transparent I figured might as well post them.

Feeling bleh

I went back to work this weekend. That went fine but I was more swollen at the end of a 12hr shift for sure. I decided to keep taking it easy this week to keep the swelling at bay and also while the couple open spots are healing. I also am feeling a little under the weather since my kids gave me a little cold. My throat is sore and I have a headache. So much fun while you are recovering from surgery. One of my nipples was being rubbed raw from the gauze I think and now is having a little serous drainage. Of course my luck it is the hypersensitive nipple. I'm putting bacitracin on and a nonstick pad to get it healed. The open spot near my right nipple ended up having a stitch that needed to be removed. It seems to be healing now. The superficial open area at the t-junction of my left breast looked a little worse yesterday then better today. There isn't any suture that I can see or feel. So might just take a week or two to fully heal. I have some peeling skin along the incisions maybe from the tape? I have a scattered fine red rash along the incision line and nipples. I'm guessing it's from the bacitracin. Now I am only using it the couple open spots. I put only biocorneum on the rest of the incision. I'm going to see how it all looks tomorrow. If it the rash or open areas looks worse I'll message my doc with pics. Otherwise I'm just trying to be patient with the healing. My husband has enjoyed helping me with the massages. It's going to be a boost to our sex life lol. He actually does a better job than I do. It is more comfortable than trying to massage it myself since I can't fit my whole hand around my breast or use as much pressure. They are very slowly feeling softer and looking better shape wise every day. My coworkers were very surprised that they didn't look crazy big. Those who didn't know already didn't even have any clue I did anything. I have less discomfort in everyday activities. I can't wait for them to be fully healed, squishy and ready for cute bras. The hardest thing right now is not going to the gym. I really miss lifting and crossfit. They want me to wait until 6 weeks post op to start again.

I also have a hypersensitive nipple and it’s awful. Better to be nice and numb. I hear you about the gym T..T My co-workers don’t know I had plastic surgery. They just think I went on a vacation.
