6 Weeks

I've wanted to do this since I was 14 years old. 6 weeks away... I've had a lot on my mind for the past 3 months, so I've been more distracted from the upcoming surgery. This still doesn't feel real.

Booked!

I booked my surgery about 7 weeks ago for June 28th with Dr. Glatt in NJ. I knew immediately when I met him, that he was the right surgeon. He had the *most* pictures on his website with the most consistent work. He was very knowledgable and honest with me.

Every doctor that I've been to has suggested a full anchor scar, but Dr. Glatt suggested only a lollipop scar would be necessary. I told him I was slightly apprehensive about not doing the full anchor (especially because other surgeons have "warned" me that a lollipop wouldn't be sufficient), but he explained how surgeons in the US have been slow to accept breast lifts with just a vertical scar, as is often done in Europe. I had actually read that in a medical journal the week prior to my consultation. I trusted him. Not only that, but there were pictures on his website of women with worse ptosis than me, and he only did a vertical scar on them, and their results were amazing.

I'm not choosing him because he was the only surgeon to suggest the least invasive procedure- I'm choosing him because he has been the most competent, has the most competent staff, has the best proof of his work, and because the surgery is done in a hospital and not in a private facility (I feel safer that way). I am confident that I made the right decision.

The surgery is 6.5 weeks away. I'm researching changes that I can make in my diet now and after the surgery to help with the healing process. I'm also watching my diet and trying to get into the best possible shape prior to the surgery, because I know I won't be able to lift weights for quite sometime post surgery, and even then, it won't be the same for a while.

Deciding !

I went on several consultations and finally felt completely at ease with a surgeon. I had another consultation scheduled the next day with another PS and wasn't even going to go but decided to, anyway. Well... now I'm torn because I like both surgeons A LOT! Now, I just have to decide! I've always heard of people saying, "I knew this was the right surgeon for me..." and that's the feeling I got with both surgeons. I think either would do a fantastic job... I just have to decide!
