My Breast Augmentation Journey

My Breast Augmentation Journey

$8,500
In 2003, I got my first breast augmentation. They were textured saline implants and were 425 cc's. I was happy with the results until I became pregnant. I was unable to breast feed my two children, and afterwards they had stretched so much that they looked horrible. In 2015 I had the implants lifted and filled. A year later, I still wasn't happy with the results. I developed capsular contracture, Baker grade IV. They looked like round balls on my chest and moved around all over the place. I couldn't afford to have them replaced, so I lived with the look of them, but most importantly the pain associated with the contracture. I had to wear a bra to sleep in every night, and was ashamed for my fiance to look at them. I finally decided to have the procedure done in July 2020. The surgeon removed the saline implants, removed both capsules, replaced the implants with silicone "gummy bears" and did an internal lift with a "J" stitch. So far I am happy with the results on the left but not on the right. It seems to sag down on the bottom right side, and to me, looks like fluid. He says that I must have split a stitch and need to have revisional surgery, which will cost me an additional $1800. Not to mention that he moved my areolas up and the stitches around them kept poking out. The nurse in his office removed part of the stitch and my areolas stretched out immensely afterwards while healing. I am about three months post op of the surgery, hoping that things will improve so that I can forego the revisional surgery, as I don't have the means to cover the cost after just paying $8500 for this surgery. I have pain in the right side if the breast is not supported in a bra, and again have to sleep in a bra or sports bra every night. I'm tired of having the pain and am really sad that after all this time and money that I still am not pleased with my results. The photos that I have added are recent. I'll add more to the story and I progress. If anyone has experienced anything similar, I'd love to hear your story/outcome.

If the internal lift you're referencing is an internal bra, I've heard nothing but bad things about that. Many ladies have stated their painful. I hope as things settle your breasts fill out evenly. I had lots of spitting sutures and had/have to wear a bra 90% of the time. Sorry your having difficulties and hopefully things will get better with time. Happy continued healing dear.
I’m sorry you had the same problem. It’s horrible. Al that time and money...feels like such a waste when the results leave you unhappy and not what you expected.
I hope things start to improve as you recover.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you for your kind words. It’s sucks wearing a bra all the time. And after spending so much money, being in pain and hating the way they look. It’s made me more self conscious than I was before. Hopefully, things will get better. I appreciate your comments.
I used Bio-oil on my incisions during healing. Silicone strips bothered my scars too much. Biocorneum is really good too. I hope everything works out for you.
Thank you!
