Revision Surgery- New PS - BIG DIFFERENCE

Wow. I have been slowly healing from my surgery in December with which I had residual swelling for more than four months and splitting stitches at five months, as well as a asymmetry, and a very noticeable snoopy breast on the right with an implant that wouldn’t drop due to poor muscle dissection and residual pain and discomfort, along with severe animation deformity on the rt, messy scars (see all images posted previously), poor postoperative care, etc etc etc.

I saw several other surgeons in the area, determined not to go back to someone who seemed to have a very barbaric approach based on my body‘s reaction to the procedure. I chose Dr. Sam Speron out of Niles, IL.

I had revision surgery last Thursday, six days ago, and all I can say is what a world of difference it makes to choose a good surgeon. I felt fantastic by day three. No crazy frankenboob or bloody, seeping, infected incision. No massive swelling. MAYBE got to a 5 out of 10 on the pain scale day 2. Nothing but ibuprofen by day 3. He dissected three planes of the pectoral muscle which had been poorly done in the initial surgery, act revision and also did an implant exchange.

Dr. Speron is awesome - both in skill and in his care for you as a patient. I’ve already seen him twice in the first week. Staff is fantastic. So grateful - it was worth the money to get it fixed- the right way. Beware of JW Plastic Surgery, and good luck reaching anyone if you are so brave, unless of course you indicate that you’re interested in being a customer - only way to reach anyone. The Dr will communicate by text, hour. I’ll give him that... Even though via text he gave me medical advice that caused a major issue instead of asking me to come in and be seen...

Would you mind posting an update 6 months after your revision surgery?

How are they coming along one month later? Any changes with dropping?

Muscularly, my right is releasing a little more, but the position of the implant and the dissection of the pocket are still off. It's only going to get corrected be a surgery

Sorry to hear this, and thank you for your reply. I’m 8 weeks and my left is not dropping. My PS is having me wear the band and push forcefully on the implant to try to move it down. It hurts to do this and I’m scared it won’t even help. Good luck on your revision if you do decide to go that route. I’ve been following your journey and hope only the best outcome for you.

Oh and he also put me on singulair to help with softening. Did you try this medication?

I got two more opinions. Both said they think my PS did not dissect the pocket or pec as much as needed. The result (if it doesn’t continue to drop and fluff) is revision in June.
