I had a BA in 2005. I was born with a shifted sternum which made my left breast much larger than my right. I had saline 275 left and 400 right. My PS originally thought he may have to do a minor lift but after placing the implants he was happy with the sizing and did not do a lift. I was super happy with the results. Fast forward 13 years and 3 kids later! My skin and tissue have changed drastically and the size difference is back. It’s back due to the pregnancy’s and natural changes it’s gaining and losing weight.

I had my consult with the same doctor and I’m scheduled for pre-op on 2/20 and surgery on 2/28.

I am still not set on size- we are keeping the same difference of 125 cc’s so my breasts are as close to the same size as possible. I will be have the breast life as well. I’ll be having the mentor high profile silicone implants this time. I want the round look.

I believe i was a 32 small b and small c before my first surgery. I can wear a 34D but there is room due to all of the saggy skin. I would like to be a full D / DD.

I really need to decide the ccs to put back in. I’m conflicted because I’ll be having the lift and I’m not sure how much that will change the overall size ???????????

Bra from Marshall’s and rice sizers

02282018
I found this cute bra at Marshall’s- hoping it will work for post surgery.

I’ve been reading reviews nonstop trying to grasp a better understanding of what size i should request at my pre-op.

I’ve read if i don’t go atleast 200cc larger then i won’t notice a difference at all. I made some 250cc rice sizers and wore them the other day. I felt comfortable in them, but i am still unsure because of the current implants i have. If i did an additional 250 then I’d have 525 in my left and 650 in my right.
I’m 5’7”
140 pounds
Currently wearing a 34D, my left breast fits but my right is a 34C

Hi there, Yes unfortunately sometimes the system here could be a little buggy. Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m curious to know whether you decided to get a breast lift or not; it’s a little unclear reading your first message below. And if you don’t mind my two cents on the subject many PS will tell you that larger implants are not a fix for ptosis. Not to mention I’ve been there and my larger implants just made me larger and saggier. I’m only mentioning this because I would hate to see you make the same mistake I made many years ago. I eventually ended up getting a lift and downsizing my implants. Feel free to check out my review if you’d like. Another thing to be aware of is “sizers” can be a very misleading especially if you have ptosis (sagging), since you’re looking at them in a bra which is not only holds your breasts up but completely changes the shape of what your final results may be. Btw, if you do plan on getting a lift one thing to keep in mind is the size/weight of the implants will put stress on the breast lift incisions which can impact the overall healing process. For more opinions on thsee subjects you may want post your before pics and questions in the “ask a doctor” section here. Good luck and wishing you the best!

yes, i am getting a lift plus re implant! my ps said i would not achieve the look we would want by only putting in a larger implant. I am unsure what method of lift he’s planning on doing, i will find out at my preop- the pictures he showed me looked like a vertical incision but beyond that I’m not sure! he is putting my implant in through my underarm, so I’m not worried about the weight of the implant. He told me i could easily handle a larger implant because of my frame- I’m just not sure what the cc amount is he would suggest. I’m anxious for my pre op:) and , i totally agree about the rice sizers, but it atleast gives me an idea of something while i anxiously wait, haha!

If he’s putting it through the arm pit sounds like you’re getting saline again? Regardless of the entry point the weight/size of the implant being added to your beasts will still impact the other incisions such as the ones around your areola or vertical (from what I’ve read) . Mind you with a breast lift the skin is also being stretched quite a bit and the pressure from that alone (even without implants) can also impact the incisions. Good luck and wishing you the best! :-)

No, I’m getting mentor hp silicone. He said he would be inserting through my current underarm incision- but again things may change at my preop. i will let him tell me what’s best for the silicone placement and size; I’m very excited but will heed his advice and expertise for sure!

Sounds like a good plan! One of the things you mentioned below was feeling conflicted about how the lift shape might change your overall size. What interesting is with a breast lift (and higher positioning of your areolas) you could end up looking fuller even with the exact same size implant. This is more the case with people that have little ptosis (such as your case) vs those that have a lot of ptosis requiring more skin removal. I think I’m a pretty good example of this. If you look at my before/after pics in my 17 Aug 2017 update you’ll see what I mean. Although I downsized I still look the same size (if not larger) because my areolas are more centered. With my increased lower pole fullness my breasts look rounder and fuller even though the volume is actually less. See link below:
