4wks PO

I am so happy so far with my results. I have followed doctors instructions to the letter and so far my incisions are. healing well, no splitting of sutures, etc. I have been a bit uneasy about removing the remaining steri strips around my aerola and vertical incision of the BL because I was scared to see what it looked like. I finally took them all of last night and to my absolute shock they look SO GOOD! My right breast was the one with the greater degree of droop and was the larger of the two with a lot of extra skin, I thought the scaring on this breast would be not pretty and an uphill battle to lighten the scar. How it is possible, I do not know but I have NO vertical scar on my right breast, none! This morning when I woke up I went to the mirror to look and make sure nothing changed somehow overnight. My left breast has some minor scaring vertically but that will lighten once I begin scar therapy.
My breasts are slowly dropping, I am massaging them 2-3 times a day. The massage process is kind of freaking me out because I don't like the way it feels and I am nervous about opening my sutures underneath my breast. I still have a ways to go to see the final results but so far the process has been without issue.

7 DPO

Everyday I am feeling better. I had my 7 DPO appointment with Dr. M and his nurse. The healing is progressing nicely. I was told to stop wearing my surgical bra and to begin wearing my compression strap during the day. I was thrilled to stop wearing my surgical bra. I can now wear regular bras (wireless of course) or no bra which is something I have wanted to do since my 20’s but never felt comfortable doing due to my deflated droopy breasts.
I have one more week before I can start to massage my breasts. I am looking forward to seeing my breasts begin to drop a bit . I have one nipple a bit lower than the other and I am hoping that they will even out more. Dr. M said if needed we can bring the nipple/aereola up a bit under local. But I will wait a number of months to see if that will be necessary.
I have been practicing my mobility- range of motion exercises and have good range of motion. My left side is a bit more stiff probably due to the larger sized implant.
Am having so much fun trying on all my sundresses and tanks that I finally fill out without taping up my breasts to try to look decent. It’s such a relief and as of right now I am very happy with my decision!

25 Years and It Finally Happened!

Unfortunately I was not genetically blessed with nice breasts. I have never had children but look like I have nursed a litter. Ever since I was in my 20's I have been very self conscious of my breasts. They never properly filled bras and to keep them looking perkyish in a bathing suit top, I would have to tie the top so high that it would rub against my collar bone and was so uncomfortable.I am very active and was never concerned about size but just about having perky breasts. I have been to 4 different providers over the years and Dr. Magee and his staff stood apart from the rest. I originally spoke with Jennifer, the patient coordinator who is just amazing and responds back quickly. My first visit with Dr. M was last year and he went over with me why I needed a lift and that I would need an anchor lift and that having a small implant placed in both breasts would give me the fullness that I have been craving all of these years. I told him I was very active, weight lifter, runner, etc and that I am not wanting a big increase in size, that I wanted to look as natural as possible. We decided that I would go with 300 cc's Mentor classic in my right breast as it is larger than my left breast and 325-350 cc's in my left breast. While doing the surgery he decided to to 340 cc's in my left breast. Everyone of his staff are very thoughtful and kind. Dr. M takes time to listen to you and works with you to achieve your end goal. The day of surgery I was definitely nervous but everyone put me at ease. When I woke up from the surgery I did not have a great reaction to the anesthesia and got sick almost immediately as I came to and was sick 2 more times once home. My first night I was very groggy, took a muscle relaxer and then a few hours 1/2 a pain pill. I am now 2 days PO and have not needed a pain pill since my first night I just feel the heaviness from the implants.Dr. M called me that same evening to check on me and told me my nauseousness post surgery was very normal. My range of motion was not bad the first day after and I was able to shower without help. Today, I was able to wash my hair and put on regular t-shirts without any issue. The sutures seem to be ok with no bleeding or oozing. I am happy with what I see so far and am excited to see how my new girls progress! I will be posting updates.
