Breastfeeding two children are not what ruined my ladies, losing weight quickly did! My surgery is October 9th (tomorrow!!!).I’m getting 440cc hp sientra. I learned earlier this year that I have the Factor V Leiden gene, so I’m uneasy bout blood clots right now. I have had multiple surgeries before knowing this and everything was fine, so I’m praying or a smooth, uneventful recovery.

Surgery day

Surgery was today. I went back at 7 and surgery began at 8. I have zero tolerance for pain meds so I’m only supposed to take ibuprofen. Apparently I woke up insisting on some bc they gave me one thing in my iv.i immediately became nauseous and drowsy. My oxygen was low 90’s so I was encouraged to take deep breaths. It still burns to breathe and there is a lot of pressure. They look ginormous so far. ????

Congrats on your surgery! Sorry to hear about your discomfort. You mentioned you have “zero tolerance for pain meds”. Just curious can you handle muscle relaxers? Some people find muscle relaxers very effective for post op pain (sometimes more effective than pain meds), especially if their implants were replaced under their pectoral muscles. Of course this is a matter to speak with your PS about. In any case now it’s just to take it easy and rest. The first few days are the roughest, but you’ll get better as each day goes by. I hope you’re feeling better soon.

I have been able to take my ibuprofen and around 6:00 last night I started feeling much better! My left rib cage is sore. He said he had trouble getting the implants in so that may be why. I do have some leftover muscle relaxers at home that I will give a try. Feeling 100x better today!

Hi again. Glad you’re feeling better. Btw, imo you should get clearance from PS for any postop meds you are going to be taking... even if they’re sitting in your medicine cabinet already. Ok? :-) A lot of PS write prescriptions for muscle relaxers for their BA patients. I didn’t have so much pain but I told my PS I needed them just to be able to sleep on my back every night. Lol. Good luck.

Woke up feeling great! Currently taking ibuprofen 800 and tumeric and bromelean for healing. Pain is at a 1 today and it’s in the top of my left rib cage. It feels o good to have the wrap on and this post op bra is AMAZING and soft.
