Still happy almost 1 year post-op
This has been quite a journey. I have a genetic predisposition to stubborn hyperpigmentation because of my ethnicity. I’ve noticed the scars on Dr. Sherwyn’s Caucasian patients become thin white lines around 6-9 months post-op. But everyone is different, so give yourself some grace!
The darkness around my incisions are still fading, slowly but surely. The incisions themselves are smooth white lines and the texture/pleating is almost gone. There’s only a small amount pleating on my right breast when I raise my arms super high. I’m very happy with my overall outcome considering what I looked like pre-surgery. I feel like the shape and position of my breasts look very natural.
There was a time I desired the perkiness of an “implant” aesthetic, but it simply wasn’t feasible with my degree of sagging. Now I’m at a point where I like the size of my breasts and I don’t think getting implants for extra perkiness is worth it. I want kids eventually, so I can alway revisit the implant option once pregnancy and breastfeeding has given me a reason to.
If you’re considering a breast lift, my best advice is to be realistic, patient, and advocate for yourself by asking A LOT of questions! I am very grateful that Dr. Sherwyn has spent a generous portion of his time checking on me and encouraging me to discuss any of my dilemmas with him.

11 weeks post-op
Sorry for the blurriness. This was taken 11 weeks post-op (1 month has passed since I took this photo). Yes my right nipple is inverted and always has been. I chose not to have it fixed during the procedure. Patiently waiting for Mother Nature to work on these scars. I wear silicone strips religiously and apply sunscreen daily regardless of what I’m wearing or where I’m going. There’s some pleating (super normal) which has subsided a bit since taking the photo. Dr. S and I continue to FaceTime monthly and he’s very happy with the progress!
Silicone Strip Application
Can you tell I’m excited?! I FaceTimed with Dr. Sherwyn today for a 7.5 week follow-up appointment. He said everything looks fabulous and he walked me through applying the biodermis silicone sheets. A far as activity goes, I’m free to do pretty much whatever I want since I’ve passed the 6 week mark. Now it’s just a matter of letting the silicone sheets, sun protection, and time fade the incision scars (which are already looking great; will post a separate picture soon). As far as the shape and volume, I couldn’t be happier! I used to be of the opinion that “bigger was better”, but I’m really loving the look of a full B cup! For reference, I’m 5’2 and 113lbs. My cup size fits my current body type very well, but I’m open to the idea of implants if I happen to develop a more athletic build down the road.
