Breast lift at 55 - I was thrilled to see them looking just like he described

Today I am 3 weeks and 1day post op. Yesterday, I had my steri-strips removed and that in itself made me happy. I love what I see. There is still lots of swelling; and my nipples and areolas are really tender. However, my breasts are starting to settle and I can see past the ‘squareness’. And what I see is amazing. Because my body has a tendency toward hypertrophic scarring, I wrapped my breast VERY tight to help alleviate some scarring. I think that’s why there s more bruising than normal. It’s still to soon for me to start scar treatment, but I don’t think it’s going to be an issue. I’m thrilled with my results so far and Dr. Atalla and his staff have been amazing every step of the way.

I’ve always had large, heavy dense breasts. As I’ve aged they have drooped and hung in a very unattractive way. I’ve been reading and researching all my options for a few years and decided a lift was perfect for me and my age. On January 8, 2021 I had a breast lift. Dr. Atalla preformed my surgery and as of day 2, I couldn’t be happier. He’s been awesome about what to except, the pain I might have, (which has been very minimal so far), and he’s made himself available for all my questions.I didn’t get implants, I had no interest in bigger breasts, just lifted and perkier ones. My surgery took about 4 hours. Immediately following surgery, when I woke up in recovery I had a lot of pain around my areola’s. The RN gave me morphine, which immediately helped. That was the worst pain of the whole procedure. Currently, I’m taking Tylenol 3 and except by tomorrow to be completely off the prescription pain meds. I am also taking an antibiotic to fight infection.I went today, Saturday, January 9 for my post op visit. As we were removing the wrap, Dr. Atalla said to be prepared to see Sponge Bob Square Pants boobs. He wasn’t lying, lol. They are high, tight and square. I excepted all of that, so I wasn’t shocked. Truly I was thrilled to see them looking just like he described. I’m excited for the upcoming days/weeks.
