9 weeks today!

WORTH IT$22,000
I am 9 weeks post op today and I’m feeling great. My breasts feel like my own and they are beautiful. I do wish I went a tiny bit bigger, which is hilarious as I was so paranoid to look fake and go too big. No one has said a word about my chest. They look a lot bigger and better naked or in a bikini but only a bit bigger in clothes. I’ve been back to full body weight training and other workouts for 3 weeks now. My belly is looking good but the small swelling I still have is a bit annoying. I know with a few more weeks it will be perfect. I’m still very happy and think Dr Shortt is amazing. I will certainly see him again in the future when I need more work doing.

This is awesome! You always hear about ladies saying they went a tad bigger. I'm glad everything healed well for you!

Looking great. My surgery(TT and breast lift No Lipo) is on May4th. Did you get a recliner?if yes what kind?HOw did you sleep the first few days? Are you bak at work and how is it? I think I am panicking!!
April 30, 2019
No recliner required! I did have a comfy chair I always sat in, and had a bunch of pillows on my bed. I am three months past now and it seems like a distant memory! I just now have nice boobs and a six pack lol. My only advice is if you have kids have help for 10 days as you will need it. I slept okay, not great but you do get through it. Have help, meds and a good support system and you will be fine! Don’t panic it’s all good and worth it

3 weeks and counting!

Mommy needs work
Today is Friday and I had my surgery 3 weeks ago yesterday. I feel amazing, almost back to normal. Obviously I am not exercising like I was but my energy is 90% back to normal, I'm walking normal, and I'm in no pain. What I do feel is muscle tenderness, but no different than a kick butt workout, so it's totally fine. Occasionally I feel a zinger or slight pain in my breasts, but it's not painful, almost like a zap or electric current feeling, it's weird.
The bump I had in my upper abs from day 9 is gone and probably lasted about a week.
I still will not lift things, or do any hard housework, but every day taking care of kid stuff is fine. I am back to work (from home) but try to put my laptop on my lap while sitting as horizontal as possible on the couch for a couple hours a day. I am still definitely taking it easy, but don't require help with my kids.
I am still beyond happy with my results and am glad i went through this, my belly still has some lower swelling and my breasts are still healing from the bruises. I went to see Dr, Shortt and got the tape removed and now start the silicon wearing and oil+ massage at night, we will see how that goes! But I feel all this effort is worth it.

Forgot to ask, what kind of oil are you using? I was using Maderma gel but I’m not a big fan of it. I have been thinking of switching to an oil.
February 9, 2019
My dr wants me using Biogel oil I think it’s called. Cheap and it goes on nice, the massage part doesn’t feel wonderful though lol

Glad to hear you are doing so well! Your results are fantastic! Just wondering if it was Dr. Shortt who did your umbilical hernia repair, or was it a general surgeon?
February 10, 2019
It was a general surgeon by the name of Nicole Callan. She was lovely and seems very well liked. Dr Shortt referred her to me, I imagine it will be the same for you. I went to see her in December where she confirmed the hernia and we had a good chat. She came in on surgery day but I did not see her. When are you seeing Dr Shortt again?
February 10, 2019
If you want to talk before you see him or have surgery just let me know! I’m happy to share more details as being very well informed, and mentally and physically prepared is key.
February 10, 2019
Thank you for sharing your story, it is comforting to hear of such a success story.

I had my pre-op on Thursday and when I asked about the hernia repair there was silence. She said she would check on that and went to get Joanne. Apparently it was not on any of my papers and dr. Shortt had made no mention of it. Then I was told that the general surgeon he uses is booked until July. Joanne was going to check with him on Friday and get back to me. I hope to hear something tomorrow. I’m really worried about this now.
February 11, 2019
Oh Daisy girl, that kind of oversight is concerning I bet. Hope everything works out.
February 11, 2019
I think Dr. Shortt and Dr Callan know each other quite well so hopefully she will be able to somehow fit you in if it’s his mistake. But sometimes hernia’s can wait. In fact, mine wasn’t that bad so if I wasn’t having the other stuff done I wouldn’t have dealt with it yet. Dr Callan said I could have waited a couple years but may as well fix now since I’m having surgery. So I know it’s ideal to have it all done together but I’d still do your work with Dr Shortt if it can’t be...but I do hope they figure it out for you.
February 11, 2019
I just spoke with Joanne and she said that he may have someone else who could do it that day. She will let me know as soon as she hears back from him. My hernia can't be that bad, I didn't even know I had one. I have an outie belly button if that is what they mean... but I have always had that. I am not sure how it affects the surgery? I just don't want it to be cancelled because of this!!!! :(
February 11, 2019
Yes I hope not for your sake, same as me, I didn’t even know I had a hernia. When is your actual date? Did you decide on implants and lift or fat transfer?
March 19, 2019
Hey there! What ended up happening with you?? I am 8 weeks out and life is good ;)
March 21, 2019
Hi, I had my surgery 3 weeks ago. It went really well. Ended up getting a lift with fat transfer along with tummy tuck. I have had to have fluid drained from my tummy the last 2 weeks. It doesn’t hurt but it feels weird. I am pleased with my results so far,!
March 27, 2019
So great! How do you feel now? I am in love with my breasts but do feel in 10-15 years I will have them removed and do fat transfer. I really want to see how you feel about things after 3-6 months. I am 9 weeks out and although feel good and am back to regular life the swelling in my belly pisses me off lol. Good luck with recovery

Day 12

Mommy needs work
Today’s Day 12 and I’m feeling better than a couple days ago. My breasts already feel like I’ve always had them, they are not hard and seem to have a nice firmness but are still squishy at the same time. I’m very happy. My tummy, well swelling is still happening and now I have a bump in the middle of my stomach about 3 inches down from my boobs and it’s kinda freaking me out! It’s sore to touch and I know it was not there before. It’s like it’s where my PS started to sew up my abs, hope somethings not torn inside or that fluid is not building up and rather it’s just swelling. Besides that I am slowly getting back into life, working on my laptop from home, doing kid routine, driving etc. It’s a slow road but each day you feel a bit better. Still need a nap every day though! Tired often.

Are you off all pain meds at this point? What type of implant did you choose (saline vs silicone gummies)? And were there any discussion about the fairly new implant called "Ideal" (silicone layers with saline inbetween)?
January 28, 2019
No pain meds, not much since day 5, just Advil 1-2 per day at most. I close silicone with more of a round look, they are exactly what I envisioned I wanted. And no discussion about ideal implants. So weird but pain has never really been an issue at all for me. It’s other stuff like mobility and lack of energy and feeling useless that bugs me
January 28, 2019
Did you call the office to ask about the bump on your tummy? Also, did they provide you with a compression garment or did you purchase one on your own? It seems different for everyone. I am still on the fence about implants. Glad to hear that you are loving yours!
January 28, 2019
Yeah Dr Shortt is away. I will have to see dr Brown this week. They gave me a three part binder compression garment, but he said at my one week that I could buy a Spanx, I will go out one of these days to buy that as I don’t love this binder thing.
