WORTH IT

My experience has been very stressful over the past 9 months having chosen the wrong surgeon initially who made a mess of my breast implant exchange. Ladies please don't believe what you read in Tatler magazine and always research well your surgeon before hand. Mr Mallucci has corrected the errors made by the previous surgeon and I can now get on with my life. He is very talented and I am finally happy with the result 10 months later.

Hello does my profile not mention Partrick Mallucci? He is the surgeon who corrected the mess my breasts were in.

Can I ask who you had originally ? I am going through revision in London. Just seems coincidental that Tatler was mentioned as they gave the clinic I went with good reviews and are used in the advertising

Oh, Bless you. It sounds horrible. I took ages, years even, to decide to have surgery, researched well and tbf my original surgeon is doing the reconstruction, he agreed at six weeks there was issues...but I feel like a whole four months have been wasted. I’m uncomfortable and just wanted my deflated breasts (after breastfeeding four babies) filled out. I never had any idea of this kind of malposition issue, only the things like capsular contracture, assymetry. I did not know it could be this painful. I just wanted to get a bit of confidence back, I guess you did too, but now I feel a little silly for spending so much money and maybe a little vain. Saying that I saw so many reviews where people were instantly pleased. I am pleased with right breast but feel so deflated when having to think of going through the whole process and recovery again. The money is an issue, although I’m getting my revision with no charge, but the emotional and psychological side of things is awful, I feel so lonely because only my partner knows about this and he loved me the way I was before, he even loves me with wonky boobs !! So he doesn’t understand how I feel really...because it doesn’t matter to him but it does to me. I honestly think if I knew what I know now I would never have had it done....even though I just had saggy flaps of skin and not boobs. We’ll see when the revision is done though...hopefully I will feel differently. Keep in touch and let me know how you’re doing, I hope you feel better soon. You look really really good now, it’s hard to see I guess when you’ve been looking at something you were dissatisfied with...but honestly I think your breasts look great, very natural. I can’t wait to post pics of both breasts looking at least slightly normal !!!! Take good care

Hi. Nice to hear your story. At least your surgeon agreed that there were issues. My surgeon didn’t. I only found out myself once the swelling had gone down. I wouldn’t have let him do a revision even if he had offered as he didn’t seem to have a clue and I wasn’t even told that I could have severe visual rippling after the op. All cosmetic procedures carry a risk of complications, however, a qualified surgeon should know how to fix the issue and provide professional and honest aftercare to his patient. I had over the muscle implants for 14 years while I worked as a show room model in Italy then I went under the muscle. I was in two minds whether to replace them or have them removed, however, if I hadn’t replaced the implants then I would have needed a lift and my natural breasts would have been flat and empty after years with implants so I was advised to have my 14 yr old implants replaced which I did. Ideally I would have preferred a fat transfer but I am slim with low body fat so it wasn’t an option. Please don’t feel vain breast augmentation in your case was probably the best option to give you a full curvy breast. You should feel brave that you went through with it. I am 100% for cosmetic surgery as it can certainly improve ones self esteem and confidence if done well and looks natural. I’m sure your breasts will look great after the revision and you can treat yourself to new lingerie.

The implant that you had for 14 years , over the muscle , was round or teardrop and what size ? I saw nice results of breast augmentation placed over the muscle . Congratulations for your breast revision surgery ! The result is beautiful .

An Italian doctor in Milan many years ago. Round, high profile 280cc through the nipple and looked like two balls. I don’t have much fat so I would have been better with them under the muscle from the start. I now have 300cc teardrop high profile BLite and it’s taken 2.5 years for them to soften as I had to have a desperate revision 10 month post op due to a botched job by another surgeon. My breast tissue has now had time to heal and calm down. Everyone has a different shape and I am slender and prefer a natural look. The best advice I can give is to see Mr Mallucci in London for a professional opinion.

Before and after beast and the beauty

I don’t expect to be perfect. I am grateful for what God has given me and I am lucky to be in good health. Personality is much more important than looks. However I experienced depression for the first time in my life due to the mess my breasts where in and it’s not a pretty place to be. However I remained positive for 10 months post op knowing that my breasts could and would be corrected when my breast tissues had settled. I was fortunate enough to have some savings to have a revision 10 months later and find a wonderful and talented surgeon who tried his best to fix them. I still experience discomfort in my left pec muscle and will need a fat transfer on my left breast at some stage but I am content with the result now and advise others to be very careful when choosing a plastic surgeon. Please have a few consultations with different surgeons before choosing one.

Hi, I’m so pleased that you have found another surgeon to help you and that you are feeling better. I know exactly how you feel. My boobs are in a mess and I’ve been in pain everyday for 15th months! I have not been able to workout due to the issues from my revision and have suffered depression due to the pain, the way my breasts now look and I’ve gained lots of weight also. Can I ask......who was the original surgeon that you had the revision with? Thank you for your post and please keep us updated

Hi. Paul Harris in London. A complete b.. what a mess he left my poor breasts in. A botched disaster and it’s scary how many 5 star reviews he gets. I really hope no other woman goes through what I did by him. Luckily I had some savings and managed to have an urgent revision 10 months later. I have just passed 1 year post op and slowly but surely my breast tissues are settling and the swelling has gone down plus the galaflex mesh which Mallucci had to place to reinforce my damaged breast tissue is slowly dissolving. It’s been a mentally draining experience having a botched breast op but I have my health which is more important. I’m sorry you experience pain this isn’t normal and you should have them checked. Mallucci can advise you for sure. Take care

Hi, I’ve heard of him when I was researching other surgeons. It’s so awful to go through a revision and be left like that. So glad you are slowly recovering. I have been left with a detached chest muscle and lateral displacement (which is so painful, I can’t lay flat on my back, can’t even let my son cuddle me as any pressure on the chest or movement of the implant is so painful it makes me feel sick), they also bottomed out badly only 2 weeks after the surgery. My surgeon flew back to where he was from at the beginning of lockdown March 2020 and never heard from him since! Luckily the hospital have taken on my complaint and are sending me to another surgeon. I really hope my outcome from the next surgery is as good as yours. Take care xx

I’m sure you will be fine after revision. Stay positive. Your surgeon did a bad job it seems but I’m sure they can be fixed. Stay safe. X

Take care

Hi hun, how are you getting on with your healing process after everything you have been through? I hope all is ok and the last pictures you posted looked great.
I was really hoping to get a good result from my 2nd revision, like yourself, but 5 weeks ago I ended up having 2 revision surgeries within 2 weeks and I still feel mucked up! I’m still in so much pain. The last 20months have been so mentally and physically draining.

Sorry my messages doesn’t fully send. I was asking about your revision. Did you have a dual plane procedure to lift the pectoralis major muscle up to insert an implant?

Hi ladies, My breasts are taking shape now and getting softer at 1 year 4 months post op revision. I had two breast ops in 10 months and my breast tissue wasn’t happy at all. The galaflex mesh Mr Mallucci inserted to reinforce damaged thin breast tissue and conceal a horrid dent is still hard but it is doing it’s job and I will be patient. My breasts are the correct width and size for my breast pockets now and I have no visual rippling. I wanted a natural shape which I have. I require a fat transfer by Mr Mallucci to the upper pole of my left breast as I have very little fat especially after the subtotal capsulectomy from above muscle to below performed by the first surgeon and at certain angles when I move my arm the upper edge of my implant is very visible which is embarrassing. My pectoralis muscle was cut too high on my left breast resulting in my left breast being flatter than my right as there is hardly any muscle padding over my implant and little fat and tissue remaining. I am hoping the fat transfer will pad out my left breast and even a slight improvement would be wonderful. I wish you all luck when choosing a plastic surgeon. And remember “Be wise!!!” xxx

1 yr 4 mnths post op revision by Mr Mallucci and my breasts are finally taking shape and getting softer. They are now the correct width and size for my breast pockets and the galaflex mesh Mr Mallucci had to use is still hard but will absorb in time and reinforce my thin damaged tissue. I had a hollow dent next to my cleavage after the subtotal capsulectomy performed by the previous surgeon. My breast tissue was left in some state. I have no visual rippling now, however, I require a fat transfer to the upper pole of my left breast. My pectoralis muscle was cut very high dual plane 3 + on my left breast resulting in very little muscle coverage over my left implant. My right breast had a dual plane 3 and is fine with sufficient fat/ breast tissue padding the implant. The aftercare from Mr Mallucci has been very professional.

Thank you. They will never be as I had years ago as a lot of my natural breast tissue was damaged on the left breast and my revision surgeon said it wasn’t an easy revision to fix. The galaflex mesh Mallucci inserted into a large hollow dent near my left cleavage area is still dissolving nearly two years later and they are firmer to the touch than the previous implants I had over the muscle for 15 years. At least they are the correct size and width now for my frame and they look fairly natural. It has really affected my self esteem and has been a very distressing experience. I chose the wrong surgeon unfortunately and then chose the right one. Such is life. X
