WORTH IT
After having a bilateral mastectomy 10 years ago, I finally decided I was ready for implants. I wanted to feel more like myself again. From my very first consultation with Dr. Shermak, I knew I was in good hands. I found her through online reviews, and everything people said was true. She was prompt, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. I appreciated that I never had to sit around waiting, and every step of the process was handled with care and efficiency.
We started with expanders during the summer, which worked out well since I’m a teacher. I took my time with the fills to ensure comfort. The second surgery for the implants went just as smoothly. I was back to work two weeks later with no surprises and great results. The team made it easy to schedule appointments around my teaching schedule, which was especially helpful since I work in D.C. and the office is in Timonium. Communication was also a breeze. They even respond to texts quickly, which made everything feel convenient and personal.
Dr. Shermak empowered me to make my own decisions, but I ultimately trusted her judgment, and I’m so glad I did. I love my results. I feel more confident in what I wear and how I look. Honestly, my only regret is waiting 10 years to do it.
Dr. Shermak, her nurse Tori, and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing. They truly care, and it shows. If you’re considering post-mastectomy reconstruction or implants, I can’t recommend them enough!
