6 days post-op

Went for my almost one week check up. Found out my left breast received 725cc’s and my right 685cc’s. I thought it was less on my left side but I was pretty out of it after surgery to remember anyway. But that may explain why my left side is sooo sore. It’s obvious in the pictures my left breast is still very swollen and sitting higher. I’m not the girl to freak out because I know they won’t be perfect this soon. Dr. Eby was not alarmed. Since I’m left handed she said I may have over done it some on my left side and caused my muscle to tense up which hasn’t allowed the implant to drop. She gave me a certain massage to try on my left side which should help the implant drop. Other than that she said my stitches should dissolve over the next 2 weeks and the glue will just peal off after all is healed. She said the pain that I get when bending over may last up to 6 weeks. That’s actually the worst thing I’ve dealt with this far. That pain is bad. I can’t bend over at all. I have to keep my back completely straight to pick up anything on the floor. Try doing that. It’s much harder than you think and I never was a dancer. Haha! I’ve been off pain meds for 3 days now. The pain is tolerable. Just taking Tylenol when needed. Anyway, I’m happy with my progress and relieved to hear Dr. Eby was too. Now I’m going to relax and take it easy. Doctor’s orders. ??

Yesterday (day 3 post op) was by far my worst day. Pain was really bad even taking pain medication. I can tell a huge difference today!! I finally have some relief. I can move my arms more freely. I can tell my swelling has definitely gotten better. I can feel the heaviness more so today. I know it’s partly because I went so large but today they feel REALLY heavy. It’s just a good reminder of how awesome they will be when they are done settling. It is still painful to bend over or move from sitting to standing and vice versa. It’s tolerable more today though. Over all, everything I am feeling was and is expected. I’m looking forward to tomorrow and hopefully feeling more improvement...after all, I am getting married in 5 days!!!!!

I took a shower today with the help of my hubby. I can’t raise my arms high enough to wash my hair and bending over or down is extremely painful. I feel hardly any pain in my right breast but my left is still very painful. I can still her the left implant trying to settle. Today was the first time I tried on a sports bra. This one is a 3XL. I probably could wear a 2XL, but the 3XL is very comfortable considering it’s only 2 days after surgery. I went to my son’s basketball game today. I just walked slowly so my breasts would not bounce or move at all. I was very tired by the time we got home. Still no bruising.

LOVE Dr. Eby. She really takes the time to understand what you as a patient want out of your surgery. She wants you to be happy with her work. She made me feel so comfortable on surgery day because she knew exactly what look I wanted and she delivered. You cannot go wrong with her!!
