I am 31 years old, 5'9", 145lbs, and my bra size is 36AA. I have 1 child who is now 8 and she was breastfed. I intend on having more breastfed children. For 12 years, since I was about 19 and realized that my breasts were not getting any bigger, I have wanted breast implants. My confidence has always suffered and my small chest is what I attribute it to. It's genetic. My mom has a small chest.. I never had a chance. haha! Once I told this to my fiancee, he secretly searched for the best PS he could find in our area. He surprised me on January 19th, calling me from work to tell me I had a consultation scheduled with Dr. Hubbard in Va Beach for today, January 27th, at 10am. Since he did that, I have been tirelessly looking at pictures of boobs I wish I had, before and after photos, types of implants, stats, progress blogs, trying to be as educated as possible. It was exhausting trying to find women with similar stats to me, so I have decided to share my experience. I am so nervous, but even more excited!!
For the look I want, I am thinking that I want 400-450cc implants, submuscular with an inframammary incision. I enjoy lifting weights and getting a natural look while being able to lift is important to me. After much research I have decided I want the Ideal Implants. They are said to feel very much like silicone gel implants and not ripple, while being filled with leak-friendly saline.. ya know.. just in case

The consultation with Dr. Hubbard this morning went SO well!! He made me feel really comfortable and was able to answer every question I had, as few as they were. I started off with paperwork, of course. And a $50.00 consultation fee that, if I choose Dr. Hubbard for my BA, gets applied toward the total cost. My fiancee and I were then sent into an office-like room where my blood pressure was taken and an assistant asked my my intentions were as far as implants are concerned. We watched 3 presentations on a computer and were told to write down any questions we may have. As much research as I had done, not much new information was presented here except for Dr. Hubbard's personal video explanation of the 3 types of implants his practice offers: Saline, Silicone Gel, and Ideal Implants. We learned a little more than we had read and were sold even further on the Ideal Implants. Dr. Hubbard then came in and asked me about what I wanted and what questions I had so far and what I wanted my body to look like. He was very thorough and made sure, repeatedly, to make sure I was comfortable and had all the information that I needed.
The assistant then went took us into another room where I put on a front-opening gown. She stood me up in front of a blue screen and took my "Before" pictures. Then Dr. Hubbard came into the room. He took my measurements, which I wish I had written down.. but I replicated them when I got home and I'm pretty sure they are close if not exactly what he measured. He then performed a breast exam to check for any lumps. After this he reviewed my pictures and told me that I had great symmetry and, to my surprise, plenty of tissue to get whatever size I wanted. This is something I was concerned about as small as I am.. and looking at my wish pictures. :) My fiancee brought up a concern that I hadn't considered.. and that was my stretch marks from breastfeeding. Dr. Hubbard assured me that since my breasts had stretched before, and because I am in my 30's and my skin elasticity has improved, that no more stretch marks should arise and the ones I have shouldn't be any more noticeable than they already are. He also informed me that I have a slightly outward-sloping chest wall. This can result in the implants, over time, moving outward. He said that he likes to tackle this issue before it happens and that we can discuss options at the pre-op appointment. :) I am SO EXCITED!! Then came the fun part!! :D
Dr. Hubbard left and the assistant brought in the sizers! She gave me a 36 bra and we started with "400cc sizers". I will explain the quotes. She placed them in the bra and I fell in love!! She gave me a shirt to wear over it and I looked.. feminine. I looked like a woman. I looked how I've always dreamed. I squealed! I turned to each side and couldn't get over it! She then suggested, for comparison and to be sure that is what I wanted, to go up a size and down a size. I tried the 425cc's. Despite the "5 tbsp" difference.. I thought they were too big. My fiancee agreed. haha! We then tried the 375cc's. And they were too small. We then went back to the 400cc's and it was just right! She explained that when you place the implants under the muscle, you lose approx. 50cc's in appearance, so when you choose 400cc sizers, they fill them to 450ccs. 450 it is!! :D The white shirt with their office logo that I used was mine to keep. :) I am kicking myself for not snapping pictures while I was trying them on. Maybe I will have a chance in my pre-op appt!
We went into another office where Mary Beth discussed finances and appointment dates. After my fiancee and I went back and forth with upcoming available dates, we decided on February 20th! SO CLOSE!! :D I will have a pre-op appointment on January 31st to use the Vectra 3D Imaging to give a visual of what my body may look like after the surgery and the implants have settled into place. We will lock in the size I want and I will receive all the info on pre- and post-op care as well as, from my understanding, prescriptions so that I have them on the day of the procedure. We paid the $500 deposit to lock in the surgery!
I am SO EXCITED about this journey and will continue to update as things progress! :D

So glad your consult went well! What a great surprise from your fiancee! It sounds like you found a nice size and style implant that fits your physique. They will let you do sizers again in your pre-op! My suggestion is to bring the white shirt back and a couple of you *favorite* shirts you have now for a real life idea of what you'll look like. Exciting!

Oh oops! Didn't read far enough! I see you already had your preop!! Haha! Yay!

I’ve noticed you where small like I was have you noticed a ripple feeling when you touch your breast? I have noticed some and I’m being told it’s because I had very little breast tissue. have you experienced this

Mine are under the muscle. At the very bottom of my breast, where the crease is, sometimes I think I can feel the implant. But it's nothing that bothers me at all! A year and a week later, and I still absolutely love them!!

Had my pre-op appointment today! :D I am SO excited!! Signed a whole lot of papers. Dr. Hubbard is extremely thorough with all of his expectations of me when it comes to pre- and post-operative care. I got copies of everything and have read it twice and will be sharing it with my fiancee. Also got my prescriptions to fill out prior to the operation. Tried on sizers again and actually bumped it up to 500cc's! This is going to be a huge change for me and I am SO looking forward to it! I got more before pictures taken with the fancy camera and then we did the Vectra 3D imager. Wasn't so impressed with it. My boobies are gonna look SO much better than that picture! :) 19 sleeps til the big day!! :D

Fun with rise sizers. ;) 12 days til new boobies!! Looked up how to put together some rice sizers and had a little fun. Pretty darned close to the sizers in the doc office actually! See for yourself! I am getting 500ccs under the muscle, but since subpectoral implants lose about 50ccs in the way they look, I made "450cc" rice sizers
I am currently 5'9", 145 lbs, and a 34AA.
