Two Unsatisfactory Surgeries

Two Unsatisfactory Surgeries Later and I Found out Myself I Have Tuberous Breasts

I initially chose Dr Piazza because his bedside manner is impeccable, especially during the consult. Turns out he had no idea what he was doing with my situation, and he got a lot less interested after he got my money for the first surgery.
I started bottoming out just three months after my first surgery with him and was told “it happens” and I’d likely need another surgery. I couldn’t afford it until almost a year later, so I spent a year with droopy, misshapen, stretch marked breasts. I was even more self conscious than before, and his nurse Haley said “they’re not that bad.” To my face. As I was trying not to cry.
My options were to reinforce the fold (he said 50/50 success rate) or get Strattice put in. He was so confident Strattice would fix everything so I paid the extra money for it.
After the surgery my two boobs looked way different. My wife said he told her that my “nipples may be off” when he briefed her after the surgery. The left one looked perfect the day of surgery which had me concerned, the right one was higher and constricted and more what I would expect after a surgery. Turns out the nipple-fold distance is different by .5cm by his measurement, more like 1cm by mine. He spent an extra hour in surgery so I had to pay for that too.
I still have a shadow from my old crease because he didn’t do anything to release the constricted tissue. My breasts are noticeably uneven in tight clothes and bras, especially my nipples, so I wear loose clothing on top. My left breast is starting to bottom out again and I can feel and see the implant at the bottom even though I was told he used a ton of Strattice, like covering the entire bottom section of my breasts. For how much money I’ve dumped in overall, I would expect something a lot closer to perfect than this.
On top of all that, his office and staff were terrible before, during, and after the second surgery. It was a completely different experience from the first surgery.
The nurse FORGOT about my phone appointment so I had to call her. No one told me I’d have drains or what that meant until the day of. I’ve had two separate appointments where I waited a solid HOUR to see Dr Piazza. I spent thirty minutes listening to him having a phone conference through the wall once while I waited. They now have a note for me to only schedule appointments directly after lunch so he doesn’t “get backed up.” It makes me feel for his other patients who don’t know how long they’ll have to wait. I can’t get anyone to email me back and have to email multiple people, multiple times, and wait 2+ days for ANY response more often than not. The kicker? He went on vacation, out of the country, THE DAY AFTER MY MORE COMPLEX SURGERY. AND I HAD NO IDEA UNTIL I WAS IN MY SURGERY GOWN. If I had known, I would’ve never scheduled my surgery that day. And I needed his advice because I was short of breath so had to talk to some other random doctor who tried but wasn’t very helpful.
He was so great the first time around, but for someone who touts that he does a lot of revisions for other surgeon’s work, I’m not impressed.
What is the best way to move forward from here? I’m worried that I made a mistake with the Strattice and it will take a ton of undoing to get them closer to how I wish they looked, meaning like normal breasts.

Decided not to do revision with Dr Piazza

I went back to get Dr Piazza’s opinion on fixing his first two attempts at my BA. He changed his initial treatment plan, which was in office, minimally incisive, and at no cost to me. This time he wanted to do fat grafting to both sides and cut the skin on my left side (the one that’s bottoming out more) to try to make it sit higher, so another big surgery. He would leave the right side alone, which is also misshapen and bottoming out. This is a huge change from the in office procedure he initially gave me, and I don’t feel my breasts changed that much since then. I did not agree with his plan and he got testy with me when I brought it up over the phone later. I do not trust his judgement or his surgical skills anymore. If you do not have a defined crease or breasts that already have a nice shape, I suggest you look elsewhere.
