Revision to small implant (335cc to 240cc, HP unders) - petite 5’3, 115 lbs, active lifestyle

9 months later! Happy with my decision to down size - 240cc

WORTH IT$8,000
Time flies! I think my breast have fully dropped and I’ve grown to love them more everyday. I am still happy with my decision to downsize. 240cc high profile on both was the right choice.
There is still a small dent where I had the capsuloraphy but I think it’s just inevitable since I am slender with thin skin on my breasts. It doesn’t bother me too much but just keep that in mind if you are slender with thin breast skin, you may have higher chances of ripples/dents showing from your implants (so it’s better to go smaller than bigger).
My advice from this whole experience:
I have learned that we are ALL different. What may look good on another may look different on you. So stick to your intuition, don’t listen to others too much. I made the mistake of listening to my girlfriends and doctor telling me to go bigger and I ended up having to do this 2nd operation to downsize. Do what you think will work best for your body and lifestyle. Make sure you do multiple sizing sessions and 3D imaging sessions with your doctor. Don’t feel bad! This is YOUR body and you need to make the right decision.
My measurements:
5’2”, 110 lbs, bra size previously: 32AA
1st op: 335cc HP (left), 325cc HP (right), bra size: 32DD
2nd op (downsize and capsulotomy/capsuloraphy): 240cc HP (both), current bra size: 32C

They look so good! Wouldn’t have thought they were only 240cc. Have there been any changes since your last update. Also, was the recovery easier this time around?
Thank you so much for your detailed reviews! I have very similar proportions to you and have really struggled to figure out what would look good for my frame and goals. You look great!

2 month mark!

Posting some side photos and different angles. They are almost fully dropped and feeling pretty natural and squishy! I can do almost every workout now besides lifting weights (will wait one more month for that). I’m back to running long distances and feel no discomfort at all. Happy to feel like myself again and love wearing dresses now with a little cleavage! :) I’m measuring at 32C in all bras and I finally feel like this is the perfect size for me.

Congratulations! They look great! Your decision to do what you knew was right for your body is commendable. There is a lot of advice to “just wait.” When you know, you know. I just got 335cc high profile unders placed 5 days ago and I think they’re way too big. This is the first post I’ve seen that doesn’t make me feel like my concern is just me being dramatic. Are your 240cc moderate profile?
Nm. Saw your other post stating they’re HP.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I know that feeling when you think you went too big :( did you end up downsizing?
Thanks so much for posting this. I’m 2 weeks post-op and am freaking out that I chose the wrong size. It’s reassuring to know someone else has also experienced this and that there are options!
Feel free to message me if you have any questions. Did you end up doing a downsize?
I am scheduled to downsize my implants! I have such a narrow chest I am thinking of going from 280 HP to 195-210 moderate. Doctor said I would notice a difference at 235 moderate plus but I am worried about too much projection and want to go smaller... Would you mind sharing what brand your 240 cc implants are?
That sounds like a good plan! Changing from HP to Moderate will already be a noticeable difference in projection. If you want an even more noticeable change, I would go smaller than the 235 Mod+. Definitely have some Wish photos to show your doctor and that'll help get them on the same page as you. My implants are Silicone Natrelle Inspira SoftTouch 240 CC HP on both left and right.
Thank you so much for your response!! I sent my wish photos in and he reviewed them this Wednesday. He said if I go any smaller than 50cc’s he wants to remove my implants first for 3 months before downsizing to shrink the skin… is this something your doctor did? I’m 33 years old, smaller built and not decreasing a whole cup sizeso wondering if it’s possible to do without the removal. I’m afraid my husband will tell me it’s too much work and money and to just be happy with what I have.. but I have had them in for almost 2 years because everyone told me to wait… I wish so badly I would have exchanged them at 9 months when I did renuvion… It would be an additional $1900 to go that route and I am quoted 7900 so it would be $9,800… not to mention the initial cost of mommy makeover and renuvion, feeling so frustrated.. So I am asking the nurse what if I only went down 65cc to a mentor implant 215cc moderate: 10.4cm width and 3.6cm projection. Sorry to ask, would you mind sharing the difference between the widths and projection cm’s? I just feel if I’m going through all this trouble I would rather have it be what I want. I’d rather downsize 65cc vs the 45cc he wants me to do. My current width and projection: Sientra HP 11.1cm
& 4.5 cm. The one he suggests I downsize to… wish the projection is still higher than I’d like: Sientra 235cc mod plus 10.5cm and 3.9cm.
Sorry for the late response! Did you end up doing the revision? My doctor didn't advise to remove the implants for 3 months to shrink the skin. Probably because my first surgery was so recent (only 4 months past) so my skin wasn't permanently stretched yet. I would try to avoid going through multiple surgeries. It sounds like a lot. You can always see another plastic surgeon for a 2nd opinion. Or ask your doc if there is a way he can tighten the excess skin during the surgery? Capsuloraphy? Which is what my doctor did to decrease pocket size I don't know what my implant measurements were but the width didn't change too much since I did HP before and HP after. Moderate profile has a wider implant so that may help solve the excess skin issue for you. I would go with the wider implant if you are worried! Hope this helps and good luck! Keep me updated!
This was great to know! Thank you for the response! I’m scheduled for June 1st to downsize. I am hoping to go down in width as I have permanent cleavage lol but for reals my implants are very close! I am going in for a second opinion tomorrow and have read up Capsuloraphy and hoping that’s what he’ll do!
Good luck!! all the best to you and let me know how it goes. Hope you will be happy with your new results, I know how frustrating this whole process can be.
Thank you so much! June 1st is coming up quickly and I am so delighted to say that the pre op appointment went great and the nurse is setting aside 2 different 210cc’s for him to try on me and one 195cc so I am relieved! Thanks for being a great help on here! I appreciate it!

5 week update!

Can’t believe it’s already been 5 weeks. Recovery is definitely better 2nd time around. I’m still happy with my new size. Some days they feel bigger. I could’ve gone down even more to 220cc but it’s ok! Still happy with my results. My right breast still sits a little lower but it’s not as noticeable as before.
Happy that I can be active again!

You look great! You were right to trust your gut and ask for the revision.
Thank you! Very happy with my decision
Very nice! So you went from a D to a C? I am thinking about downsizing a bit, I too am pretty active myself and mine tend to get in the way if you know what I mean. do you notice a big difference now downsizing?
Yes! I do notice a big difference. I can fit into my old XS sports bras. Previously, I had to buy S or sometimes Medium in sport bras to fit my D cups. I can also just feel that they are not as heavy on my chest and doesn't interfere with my activities. They used to bounce a lot and would hurt when I would go running. Now, I don't have that issue and I barely notice them when I work out. I also like that it's subtle under clothing so you can't really tell I have implants unlike before. I highly recommend down sizing If you feel they are interfering with your active lifestyle.
Thanks, you look great! I am considering going down a little mainly due to issues with exercising and being really active
