Breast Implant Revision W/ Strattice and Lift
WORTH IT
A little history on my story...
I had breast augmentation surgery about 20 years ago (with another surgeon in Seattle). I unfortunately had substantial capsular contraction and other issues following my procedure and was in desperate need of a revision. My breasts were lopsided, hard and uncomfortable. I have put this off for a long time due to fear that I would end up with the same result as the first time. I knew I was not a straightforward surgery case. This was going to be a challenge.
I had a couple of other consults prior to visiting Dr. Salemy. Both surgeons suggested a revision with lift. I would still have a high chance of capsular contraction since this is how my body wants to heal. This did not surprise me. I decided to seek a third opinion, Dr Salemy.
Immediately upon meeting with him, he suggested something no one else mentioned, doing the revision using Strattice tissue as an "internal bra". Doing the procedure this way would also make it very unlikely that I would develop capsular contraction again. WHAT ?!?! I had never heard of this and no one else had mentioned this. Beside giving me this new option that could potentially really help someone like me, he was so kind, personable and knowledgeable. I did some research and decided this would be the best choice for me, and Dr Salemy would be the best surgeon to help me!
I moved forward with the surgery in August 2022. Dr Salemy, his clinical staff and surgical staff were all beyond amazing every step of the process. I was VERY anxious, but knew I was in the best hands for a difficult surgery. I was expecting to be in considerable pain/discomfort following the surgery, nausea from anesthesia, etc as I had been after my surgery 20 years ago. Nothing, nada, zip! I felt amazing. Literally just used Tylenol for post op pain.
I am now 5 months out from the procedure. My breasts are beautiful, soft and symmetric!! I have been worried that I would develop capsular contraction again, but I have not (he told me I would not, but I was still worried). If I hadn't chosen Dr Salemy, I do not feel like my breasts would have ever looked this amazing.
I have no hesitation in saying that Dr Salemy is an artist and has the highest attention to detail. I sincerely appreciate his work and how much better I feel about myself since having this long overdue procedure.
Thank you!!

The total for the revision w/ Strattice was about $26k. The lift was about $10k. Total of $36k for everything.
I know the Strattice adds a significant cost, I believe around $6-7k or so...
Please let me know if you have any other questions, happy to help :)
I was expecting to be in a lot of pain ( I was after my primary surgery 20 years ago), but I was extremely comfortable. Pain controlled with only Tylenol! The Strattice causes a lot of inflammation/fluid, so I had drains in for 7 days after surgery. The most uncomfortable part was the annoyance of the drains and the itchy sports bra (haha!) I was very pleasantly surprised :)
