Revision from under to overs with Ideal implant by Dr. Leahy

WORTH IT
I got rid of those crappy ideal implants and exchanged them with Sientra 107 implants. Recovery has gone good so far just the pressure and soreness always gets you. My left breast is a bit more swollen then my right one. I could’ve knock it or it may have been because a friend hugged me a little too tightly! I do have a small bruise on the lower left breast, but so far these implants are much softer and they just feel more comfortable inside my body.
Apparently, there was nothing wrong with the ideal implants. The loss of volume on my right breast is a mystery. ??????

It's hard to tell but did you stay with the same cc? Did you keep them as overs or go back to unders? Why is the one breast so large? No bleeding going on in there correct? Hope you continue to post with clearer pics. Lets hope 3rd times a charm! Good luck and happy continued healing dear.
*PS* I recently posted a 4 ypo update
Hey! There's no bleeding the bruising cleared up. Unfortunately, I still feel that tightness in my left breast. I stayed with overs and the same size CC.
Love to see a photo update? Did everything heal up ok? Hope all is well my friend.
Your girls look lovely, and I hope the soreness has subsided, leaving you looking and feeling great. :)
I just had my Ideals replaced with silicone after the ideals deflated. My case was also a mystery, the outer shell was empty, just air and collapsed onto itself. The valves were intact and there was no visible leakage. The PS didn't know how to explain it either. I had a suspicion of leakage but mainly got them replaced because I didn't like the way they felt and they looked smaller than what I thought I'd end up with. I'm 4 days post op and so far they look great.
It is so weird?! I thought for sure mine had a leak... doesn't make any sense. So far I love having silicone breast implants. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you ladies for sharing your ideal implant stories. I’ve been researching these and feel convinced not to go this route.
How many cc's did you get? I love the Sientra implants, I wish I was able to get them for my revision but my new PS only offered Mentor (which is my second favorite). The Sientra implants feels so nice! Can't wait to see more updates!

3rd revision scheduled

Hey y’all,
So… I scheduled my third revision surgery, and I’ve decided to kick ideal Implant to the curb, and go with sientra breast implants.. I’m hoping 3rd time is the last time I have to get surgery for a loooonnnggg time!

Oh my goodness! Did another one of your Ideal implants rupture?! I have been following your story and I just can't believe how many times you have had to go through with replacing them. I have heard Ideal implants aren't the greatest device, but I know women love Sientra implants! I personally have Mentor MemoryGel Xtra, and I love them, but one time I was in a plastic surgeons office and they had all three (Allergan Inspira SSF, Mentor MemoryGel, and Sientra) the Sientra implants were so so soft! The Mentor implants were super soft too, but the Sientra felt so real I was very impressed, lol I didn't want to stop squeezing it haha. The Allergan implants I thought were the worst, something about the shell was really thick and it had a tough feel to it, not natural IMHO. I think you will love the Sientra implants! I hope you have a great recovery and love your new implants! Best of luck!
Aww! Thank you so much!! Yes, I had a second rupture on my right implant and my left side has the start of capsular contractor.. so it's time to go with a new implant device! I really hope everything goes well and o don't have any more issues down the road. I wish I went with sientra for my second revision.
Yes it’s contractor
You should have them removed. My opinion.

Photos of possible contractor?

Why does it look like my Left implant is riding higher on my chest now? My breast tissue is dropping over the implant as well... I’m frustrated...

Thank you for posting. It does look like your implant has bottomed out.:(
I had a similar situation. I was botched pretty bad by my first surgeon (lollipop mastopexy/implants). He revised one breast 6 mo later and made it worse.
I went to a different surgeon for full revision on both sides 2 years later. Both side had the breast tissue hanging off implants like that. I did not have CC, my pockets were revised, strattice placed, internal bra, implant exhange. I am a year and a 1/2 out from revision now. They are MUCH better. Not perfect becuase first surgeon messed me up so bad, but I will live with it.
My suggestion to you and anyone else who is not happy with results is go elsewhere! My boobs loked like a disaster, and my origional surgeon told me that was good results. I sure wish I would have before letting him cut into me a 2nd time.
