5 weeks post op
They've changed quite a lot looking back at my initial photos. The muscle has definitely relaxed a lot more and I can bring them closer together. The swelling in the sternum has gone down. I think one muscle is relaxing quicker than the other, which is common. It doesn't really bother me. It'll be some time before my scars settle but i remember it took a good 6 months for them to fade to white and flatten out so I'll continue to be patient. :) Overall feeling really happy. I feel so much better in clothes again. I spent $1500 on new dresses because everything I tried on, I was 'oh this is flattering, oh so is this one, oh I look good in this' hahaha. I think it was just because I felt so much more confident in my body again! I stopped wearing dresses when I downsized because I didn't feel as attractive in them anymore. Now I have that nice hourglass silhouette back and I'm loving it!!
Day 17 PO
Day 17 post op now. Feeling pretty good overall. Definitely liking the size much better and I do like the natural slope. I did, however, really like how the subfascial implants sat closer together. The muscles do push them apart and the cleavage isn't as good. I think this may improve as the muscles relax. It is only day 17, after all. I can still create good cleavage with bras anyway. But I did like that I naturally had good cleavage without a bra when they were subfascial. Having said that, I like the natural slope and shape. The lower pole fullness is fantastic. I didn't have that at all with the 275cc. There was nothing below the nipple basically. Even with my first set of 350cc, the lower pole didn't have quite enough fullness relative to the upper pole. I think the cleavage and upper pole will improve with muscle relaxation but overall I'm really happy. I spent $1500 on new clothes because all of the dresses I tried on looked amazing. I think it was just because I felt so good having nice, full boobs again that I thought my figure looked so much better in everything!! Happy days. I'll keep the updates coming and show some with bras and clothes and time goes on too.
Motiva Ergonomix 375cc Dual Plane
I've had quite a journey with my boobs! My first BA was in 2016. I had 350cc HP Mentor round. They actually looked great, if I'm honest. I got a lot of positive feedback. But I felt like I was too large and in particular, I felt the upper pole was too full and round. They were also subfascial and being quite thin, I didn't have a lot of coverage. I had some VERY minor rippling in the cleavage, which was not visible but was slightly palpable.
I ultimately decided to downsize to 275cc mod+ in 2018. Initially I felt great because they did look significantly smaller and I felt like my pre-BA self again. It was amazing how much of a difference that profile change made! It was 1.2cm less in projection and I looked completely different. They disappeared in clothes altogether. But after a few months I realised the shape just wasn't anywhere near as nice as before. They had a nicer slope in the upper pole but NO lower pole and they were quite flat in general. They looked ok but not like I'd hoped. I'd hoped I'd be able to push them up and play them up in push-ups when I wanted (and I could) but the look was not what I'd pictured at all. They were quite flat and I wasn't really happy. I also had significant rippling this time in the cleavage, which was visible.
So, I decided to go back under the knife a 3rd time and aim for something similar to what I originally had. Looking back at pictures, I realised the original implants weren't too large at all and it was more about me struggling to adjust to the change after being so small all my life. Also, it was the roundness in the upper pole and having very little tissue coverage that contributed to this feeling. So we opted for the new motiva ergonomix in 375cc and went dual plane this time around. I had my bandages off yesterday and so far I'm thrilled with the outcome. I know they will continue to change as the muscle relaxes and the swelling and bruising subsides, but I'm really happy with how they look so far and I'm excited to see how they'll look in a few weeks. As my overlying tissue was already stretched from my overs, it's more waiting for the muscle to relax underneath so the implant can fill out the top part and cleavage area a little more. Also, the ergonomix tends to take on a more anatomical shape while standing but also allows for movement in a pushup to create a rounder look if desired. I just pray there are no complications or issues this time around. I hope the next time I go back it's because it's been 10 or 15 years and they're due to be replaced. I'm so over surgery and thinking about my boobs! Haha
