WORTH IT
The best of the best. Almost a year out and I am still loving my results. No capsular contracture. No rippling or sagging. Just high morale and feeling more comfortable in my own skin — FINALLY.
After receiving two prior breast augmentations and my results being unsuccessful, I scheduled consults with various different surgeons—older doctors, younger doctors, male, female. They all told me the same thing: I “couldn’t be helped” simply because I’m thin and my sternum was a tad wider than most. I have what is called pectus excavatum. Basically, it means that I have an abnormal, inward-growing sternum which creates an indentation of my chest. They told me they just couldn’t fix it. That they “don’t make implants wide enough” and that the best course of action would typically be to harvest fat from other parts of my body and inject them around my breast tissue to make the implants work. I’m 6’ tall with a fit, slender figure. I have no fat to work with. I lived my life with a significant gap between my breasts. Obviously, we are all beautiful, and this isn’t “necessary”, but it had a major impact on my mental health.
Then I found Dr. Senderoff. We had a quick consult, and he said “No worries, I can fix this.” I had been so used to rejection, so I thought “Here we go, another cocky male surgeon with a god complex who’s going to botch me.” He was so nonchalant and said it like it was nothing.
As I continued speaking with him, I realized he wasn’t being cocky. He was speaking from a place of genuine sincerity. He was nonchalant because he’s literally a calm, chill provider with a kind-hearted bedside manner. Ladies, I can smell a rat from a mile away, if you know what I mean.. I really grilled this man lol. But he answered every question and he made me feel safe. Not once did he make me feel like I was wasting his time or that he had to run to the next patient. So many providers fall into the category of making us feel like just another medical chart. They overlook sh*t, f*ck with our bodies, and then just go ????. If you’re anything like me, you understand how tired of it I am.
Dr. Senderoff was none of those things. I’d recommend him to the world. I’d recommend him to my own family. If even for a second you are questioning whether or not you should book this consult and you’ve lost hope that you can’t be helped—what are you waiting for? It’s an hour out of your day. As someone who used to run my own department in both plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine, trust and believe that I research these surgeons DOWN... I promised myself that I would never make the same mistake that I did with my two procedures prior.. Just book the consult. I promise that you will not regret it.
Also worth mentioning— his front desk team is AMAZING. They’re so sweet, welcoming, maintain eye contact when they converse with you. Body language and active listening are so important. I know when someone is disinterested and wanting to quickly move on so they can get their work done. This also helped me realize that his team isn’t stressed bc they’re treated well by their boss. This is *extremely* important with any medical practice. If the front desk/medical assistant team isn’t happy, that almost always means they are mistreated by their boss. This practice is none of those things. Take it from someone who worked their way up from a front desk coordinator to leading my own department within the same field.
P.S. — No, I was not asked to write this review, nor did I receive an incentive for it. I just want to help other women who are in the same place that I was. Period. I truly hope this helps ((:
