Update 1 year 4 month recent photos after revision with another surgeon
Hi ladies. My breasts are starting to soften and take shape now. My breast tissue on my left breast was in a real state after the subtotal capsulectomy performed by Harris from over muscle to under. I only realised the state of them once the swelling had gone down. This was a very distressing experience as one can see from my photos. My revision surgeon said it wasn’t an easy revision. The galaflex mesh placed during my revision around my left cleavage area is still hard but it will dissolve in time and it is reinforcing my damaged breast tissue. I now require a fat transfer to the upper pole of my left breast and to pad out where there is little fat and no pectoralis muscle padding as both breasts are now different shapes with the left one flatter than the right. At least the implants I now have are the correct size and width and are causing no visual rippling. I am still distressed with this horrid experience and wish you all the best of luck when choosing your surgeon. Xxx
Beast and the beauty
I don’t expect to be perfect. I am grateful for what God has given me and I am lucky to be in good health. Personality is much more important than looks. However I experienced depression for the first time in my life due to the mess my breasts where in and it’s not a pretty place to be. However I remained positive for 10 months post op knowing that my breasts could and would be corrected when my breast tissues had settled. I was fortunate enough to have some savings to have a revision 10 months later and find a wonderful and talented surgeon who tried his best to fix them. I still experience discomfort in my left pec muscle and will need a fat transfer on my left breast at some stage but I am content with the result now and advise others to be very careful when choosing a plastic surgeon. Please have a few consultations with different surgeons before choosing one
Patience
Slowly but surely my breasts are settling into their shape and softer. Exactly as I desired from the start. I could have avoided all this stress and current debt if I had known better and did more research plus having a few consultations for advice before making a choice is very important ladies.
