Breast Implant Revision with Capsulorrhaphy

Breast Implant Revision with Capsulorrhaphy
WORTH IT$13,000
I'm writing this review for two reasons. First, Dr. Corey did an amazing job and I couldn't be happier with my results! Second, when I was researching my surgery there were very little experiences as it relates to breast revisions with capsulorrhaphy and I wanted to give my experience for those in the future who go down this path.
In 2005, I got 550 cc moderate plus profile saline implants. Over the years they had bottomed out and were starting to drift into my armpit when I would lay down, which would cause burning in my chest. I pretty much lived in a sports bra at night just so that my boobs would stay in place. So, after 15 years and the burning I figured it was time to get a new set.
I asked a lot of Dr. Corey. I wanted my breasts to look real and feel real. I did NOT want a mastopexy because as a person of color I didn't want the noticeable scars (there were a lot of doctors that stated this was the ONLY way to achieve what I wanted). And, finally, I asked for better cleavage without having to get bigger implants. I cringe writing this because I KNOW I was asking a lot from Dr. Corey, but I also knew he specializes in revisions, was highly respected in the field, and that I'd be in good hands.
Onto the capsulorrphy portion of this...:) Internal stitches were placed underneath my boobs and on the side of my ribcage in order to repair both pockets of both breasts. Recovery from this surgery is much different than the initial breast implant surgery and a lot longer in terms of healing. I was unable to raise my arms above my shoulders for 6 weeks. This was so that my stitches would heal and not rip or pop due to unforeseen events (and per dr's orders) but let me tell you...you won’t want to lift your arms, period.
As someone who is extremely active it took me 3 weeks before I could even get on a stationary bike for light exercise. It took another 6 weeks before I could get back in the gym and do any sort of light upper body lifting. At 12 weeks is where I felt I was back to my normal self in activities, working out and day-to-day responsibilities. Not the fastest healing process but so, so, so worth it based on my results!
Thank you, Dr. Corey, for my amazing results. Truly a miracle worker!
(Just for reference I am: 43 yrs old, 5'4," 148 lbs. I had 550 cc moderate plus profile saline implants exchanged to 560 cc Allergan SCF Gummy Bear Implants).
