7 Weeks Post Op

I am finally 7 weeks post op and feeling 100%! Am back to normal daily activities, with the exception that I still have to be careful when grocery shopping (carrying heavy bags and 12 packs of soft drinks or water bottles) and carrying laundry. I have to weight gauge before picking things up that might be too heavy. Staying within the 10 lb limit as recommended by Dr. Loffredo has been difficult in that I have to actively think about what I am doing and picking up. By this point I have figured out my limitations, moving myself with my complete body weight is still a no.
I am sleeping on my back and switch to my sides every so often. My breasts are still softening up but everything looks great. I am so happy with the work Dr. Loffredo did. I never thought that my boobs would look normal let alone this good ever again even after revision but they do!

Trouble with pain meds

So today’s 6 DPO and I threw out my script for hydrocodone. Days 1-3 I was taking one pill every 4-6 hours and days 4-5 I took half a pill. Yesterday and the day before I took half as I experienced withdrawal symptoms: chills, night sweats, restless arm syndrome and an overall antsy feeling where I HAD to get up and move around or keep myself busy. Day 5 was by far the worst day for me since I got two hours of sleep the night of Day 4 until i broke down at 5am and took half a hydrocodone so I could finally sleep. All day I felt as though I was coming down with the flu. These symptoms were creeping up on me at night because I’d go all day without a pill only taking prescribed ibuprofen 800mg (and antibiotic), to come off of the pain meds. Since I have thrown out the hydrocodone I am planning to pick up some Benadryl as suggested by Dr. Loffredo in hopes that I’ll have a better time getting sleep. Id day these withdrawal symptoms have been the worst part of my revisions surgery besides having the drain tubes removed. I will update on how the next few days go! Finish my antibiotics and bottle of ibuprofen tomorrow and will be taking Tylenol as needed.

Overall rating

I came to Dr. Loffredo a year and a half after my first breast augmentation looking to have revision surgery to repair symmastia and bottoming out. He did the internal bra procedure and an implant exchange. I had the surgery done at the Cape Cod Surgery Center in Mashpee, a great half way point from his office in Hyannis if you’re traveling from Falmouth, off Cape or the Islands. Recovery was a breeze and felt like myself at two week post op, much earlier than my first surgery. After my first breast augmentation, even with revision, I never thought my breasts would look normal again. I was wrong! I couldn’t be happier with the results. From my consultation, to surgery day, up to my last post-op appointment he and his staff have been patient and professional. He took his time to explain the procedure and answered any questions I had. Dr. Loffredo is nothing short of an incredible surgeon and highly recommend him!
