It is my second day post op and I am doing great, leaps and bounds better than I expected. My surgeon and most others online say that implant exchanges are waaay easier than the initial breast aug, but I didn't believe it bc I was in so much pain after the first one. But here we are! I only threw up once immediately after waking up from anesthesia. I haven't felt nauseous and I'm keeping food down (yay!!!). If you get super nauseated like me, ask for a Scopolamine patch. It did me wonders.

My doctor set my expectations really low as far as sizing, considering the tuberous breast anatomy I was born with. But thanks to a successful healing process after surgery #1, there was enough room to accommodate the bigo tiddies I wanted!!
745cc in my left, smaller breast // 650cc in my right, larger breast.

My doctor is an excellent surgeon with meticulous vision and artful precision. But his bedside manner is both abrasive and inflammatory. There were hiccups with his staff as well, but I will talk about these things in a separate update about the people part of this experience.

Anywho! I am laying in bed, propped up, and taking it easy. I've been using ice to combat what little heat and pain I'm having right now and that has helped a lot. I HIGHLY recommend picking up some reusable ice bags; they don't leak and they can't give you frostbite bc of the material used. This has been a game changer for me during round 2. Nothing left to do now but keep taking my meds and vedge out until my 1st week PO visit when I get to see my new tiddies for the first time!! I can't wait!!<3

This was absolutely the right decision for me. I had been wanting reconstruction basically since I hit puberty and my breasts began to develop. Luckily, I reached a point of real contentment with my body well before having the money for these surgeries. That mentality is what makes this experience so wonderful. This sort of thing should be something that really adds value and confidence to your life, not takes it away. It can be hard to deal with the media always ragging on "plastic" people (so fkn rude), but know that you are the only one who can make this decision for you. And if you need support along the way, there are billions of people like you out here on Realself and Bustmob cheering you along. At the end of the day, our own happiness must be our first priority.

So did you go up or down in size?

I went up! Basically doubled the size. I was a 36D after my first BA and now I'm around a 40E/F

I am doing really well after surgery. I only vomited once right after I woke up from surgery, but haven't since. I've been able to keep food down which Is a huge improvement from last time.. I actually have had a pretty big appetite! So I've been eating lots of fresh, whole foods for healing, though that hasn't helped with the constipation...that's real af. I've been taking miralax 2x daily and I have only had 1 poo in 4 days, give or take. The bloating is off the charts as you can see in these pictures and I seem to be retaining a lot of water. My body feels thick with it and sore...kind of strange feeling, but totally normal for after a surgery like this.
The incisions are pretty itchy bc there is gauze over them that I can't take off till my 1 week po appointment with my doctor. So keeping up on meds and icing my chest is doing wonders.
Off to a good start!

The first week was a breeze; I just binge watched tv with my partner! :) The most pain I had was some tingling pains in the incisions, some pokey pains from the stitches poking around in the gauze, and the crusty gauze itself. I could not WAIT to take it all off and wash the wounds. I couldn't do anything about the bandages for the first week, so it is feeling like heaven now that they're off. I don't really need the pain meds at all here on day 7, but ibuprofen is good. I've been icing pretty consistently and that has been great at keeping me comfortable.

He didn't have to take away any more tissue to get a good shape (like we had talked about) which is GREAT NEWS! That made a huge difference in my pain level and my level of sensation. I can still feel my nipples and most of my breasts! Just small patches near the incisions that will come back soon. The retained pigmentation from my areola is gone and the incisions are very thin, healing well. Excited to be done with the surgery and done with LA. Halfway home, looking forward to the healing & drop n fluff journey.

Also, the bloating went away by the week mark! It super sucked until then, felt like I was bursting at the seams.
