WORTH IT
I came to Dr. Khuthaila looking to replace my 10-year-old saline implants for a more natural look. My left breast had developed capsular contracture and formed a visible 'knuckle' in the cleavage and another knuckle near the breast fold. My implants were very high and tight and had that unnatural push up bra look. They were ready to go!
My consultation (6/21) went really well. I had a list of questions I wanted to ask her but she was so thorough that by the time I pulled out my phone I realized she had already gone over most of what I had written down. I explained to her that I wanted the natural teardrop shape with lower pole fullness and some side boob. She was really attentive and explained how she would achieve this look for me. I put a deposit down not too long after.
At my pre op appointment we went over my desired look and shape again and chose to go with 375cc moderate plus Mentor implants. My saline implants were around 325ccs so it wasn't that big of a jump in size. I wanted to go through the crease instead of through the nipple like my first BA since my nipples still haven't regained full sensitivity after all these years. Ladies, please don't go for a nipple incision!
Surgery day (7/22) was an absolute breeze. Her team is so warm and friendly and really put me at ease. Dr. K has wonderful bedside manner - she held my hand as the anesthesiologist was putting in my IV! Yes I'm still a big baby when it comes to needles lol. When I woke up from surgery Dr. K came over to help me into a surgical bra. My boyfriend had fallen asleep in the car waiting for me and Jazmine went outside to look for him - she really saved the day omg.
It's been four days since the surgery and I honestly can't believe how pain-free my experience has been so far. I've been able to walk around the house, cook, shower on my own, and take care of myself without needing painkillers. I was really bloated the day after surgery but thankfully stool softeners have helped. It's pretty uncomfortable sleeping in a reclined position but it's bearable. Both Lauren and Dr. K called to check in on me after the surgery. I had my first post op appointment today and Dr. K removed the tape over my incisions and gave me some scar gel.
I know it's still early but I am really, really happy with the results so far. I'll update with more pictures as my breasts drop & fluff, but if they stayed like this forever I'd be pretty happy.
