I had my initial breast augmentation done in 2003. I had 200cc, textured saline subpectoral implants. I didn’t have any real complications but I decided to go for revision mostly because I’d heard that the life expectancy for saline implants is about 10-15 years and I wanted to avoid the spontaneous rupture and deflation. The other issue with my original implant was that the pocket was too high therefore even though my breasts were still too small for my frame (I’m 5’5, 118 lbs) I had disproportionate upper pole fullness and very little to virtually absent lower pole fullness. You can appreciate the issue in the pre-revision photos.

I can’t believe how smooth and painless the surgery was. I barely needed my pain meds. The muscle Relaxant alone is more than enough. My chest is a bit tight and heavy but really no pain to speak of. Of course realize some of this is because I was having s revision and this was not my initial surgery but I really relieve that a lot of it has to do with Dr. Ciaravino‘s technique.
My breasts look amazing already.
Dr. Ciaravino has suggested using either the 300 or the 325cc high profile smooth mentor implants. He asked me if I had a preference and I left it up to him. He decided to use the 325cc during the operation. I think they are the perfect size for my frame.
They are sitting a bit high at the moment but that’s to be expected.

Have you been happy with your revision and the change the new implants gave you? I notice your last post was a few years ago. I would be interested in knowing what your thoughts on it all are? I’m contemplating a revision too
