WORTH IT
I want to thank Dr. Alan Gonzales and his team for their excellent care and service during my explant surgery.
I live in the United States and I consulted several surgeons for the procedure and none convinced me. After much searching, I found Dr. Gonzales through Google and his IG account…after learning about him and his passion in helping women all walks of life with Asia syndrome/ Breast Implant Illness, I decided he was going to be my surgeon no matter what.
From the first consultation I knew I was in good hands. He listened to me and explained everything very well. He gave me the confidence I needed to decide to travel to Colombia and do it there. Dr. Alan is a nice person, honest, professional and humble, apart from being the best in his field. The consultation with him and the anesthesiologist were excellent, effective and efficient. I felt confident that everything was going to be a success. The communication was exceptional, professional and compassionate. Upon arriving in Barranquilla, Colombia everything was even better… the transportation, pre-op, surgery and care were more than excellent, they were exceptional. I consulted with a nutritionist (Dr. Alan's team) pre and post-op so that everything would be a success. And so it was, a great SUCCESS! The hospital and the doctor's office were excellent... the post-op care helped a lot so that my recovery was successful. His nurses, coordinators, receptionists were compassionate and professional... It was the best thing I could have done.
Barranquilla, Colombia is a safe, beautiful city, full of culture and nice things to enjoy.
I recommend Dr. Alan and his team 100%. I can't say enough about how blessed I am to have them as part of my recovery and healing journey. It has been two and a half months since my surgery and I feel amazing and much better with my health. I know my body is healing and will continue to heal more.
If you have health problems and have breast implants, get informed, it's not easy to make the decision to explant, but your health is worth more, it matters!! YOU matter and you have to be your own advocate… At the end of the day you will feel much better and realize you made the best decision possible.
