Breast implant removal and nipple reduction
ORIGINAL POST
Super Happy with my Results.

WORTH IT
I had my implants put in by another doctor in 2007 after breastfeeding my two sons. I had no problems with my implants and they still looked pretty good. But after really getting into fitness and running I felt they no longer fit my lifestyle and body. After a year of thinking about it I started to search for doctors and I had three different consultations. Dr. Moliver was the surgeon I chose. He is well known for his nipple reduction procedure and I really liked that he was not going to remove my capsules. Since I didn’t have any hardness or issues with them. I really appreciated his minimal invasive procedures done under local anesthesia. I’m almost three weeks post op and I’m loving my results and I’m extremely happy that had them removed. I feel like I look like myself now without the implants. I will post pictures at a later date.

I had my implants removed in November 2019. I had 3 sets of implants in 19 years with 2 unknown ruptures. I am back to a AAA cup and very happy too. I had my capsules removed after stumbling upon the breast implant illness Instagram. Also, my second set were the textured McGhan 153’s. I learned that they were ruptured after I obtained my surgical reports and also learned the capsules were not removed when my 3rd set was implanted. My new explant surgeon said these capsules must be removed. The cancer caused by implants (ALCL) starts in the biofilm of the capsule. Since my 2nd implants were textured, they put me more at risk of ALCL. I was thrilled to get them out. I read about a woman who had the same McGhan implants and got the cancer 5 years AFTER the implants were removed because her doctor left the capsules in. I was thankful to find such a knowledgeable surgeon on this topic. I’m glad you are happy!

Yes this! Capsules must be removed, it's so dangerous to leave them inside you. I can't believe your surgeon was ok with this...

Not true. I didn’t have BII. Doctors that remove when there’s no issues may do mor damage them good.

Interesting the Doctors on TV Botched leave the scar tissue if needed for volumn.

I'm glad you found a doctor who did what you wanted. I searched until I found a doctor who did what I wanted...removal without replacement, including removing the capsules. I was so stressed about another rupture, I didn't need to worry about getting (ALCL) cancer in my capsules down the road from my previous textured implants. My doctor is knowledgeable about this cancer and was adamant that the capsules be removed. I was grateful for this.

Pictures. I’m by no means perfect but I’m happy with my body. Breast fed to babies (one year each). I had saline implants for 12 and half years with no issues. I was just ready to be implant free because fitness is more important to me and I actually love the “athletic” look.

Thanks for sharing! I'm kind of like you, but had my implants for 12 years but I never liked the way they looked. They were placed too high up. I think I'm also more athletic now than before. 12 years ago we didn't have as many options for our small breasts. We didn't even have Lululemon! How about bralettes? Not a thing back then. I felt like having tiny breasts was a weird and uncommon thing, so I got breast implants.
Anyway I'm going to get them out now (July 2020) and I'm really excited to get my old body back. I hardly had any breast tissue before, so I guess I'll just have to get used to that again. Congratulations!

Yes! I’m four weeks post op and have zero regrets about getting them out. I love my imperfect small boobs. I follow “small boobs are bad ass” on Instagram and it’s so inspiring and makes me feel confident about my own body.

I completely agree. I love the athletic look much more than big fat balloon looking fake boobs.

You are " fluffing" weekly, so you should fill in and even out within a year..but as you said, they are real and that's the most important thing.

I’m still very happy with my decision. It’s been 8 months since I had my 12 year old saline implants removed. My skin has retracted. I’m very small but totally worth it not having them anymore. I didn’t have any health issues when I had I just ready to not look too heavy.
