Dr Bandy Review

I would,and have, recommended Dr Amy Bandy to anyone looking for a plastic surgeon, particularly for breast reconstruction/mastopexy (lift). This is actually the second breast surgery she has done for me. My first surgery with Dr Bandy was 7 years ago, a breast implant exchange, breast lift, and correction of pockets from my first implant surgery (done by another surgeon) from over 15 years ago... she was the first doctor to actually listen to me and assure me she could downsize my implants and create new smaller pockets, no other surgeon I consulted with said I would be happy with going smaller. Dr Bandy did exactly what I asked, the scars were so thin and precise they were nearly invisible within a year post surgery.

However I did return to Dr Bandy (without hesitation) a few months ago, Oct of 2019, when deciding to remove my implants and have a full capsulectomy, due to what I believe was breast implant Illness (BII). I have been struggling with my health, diagnosed autoimmune diseases, and a long list of other symptoms, since about a year after my first set of implants were put in. Took me a very long time, and many lost memories with family and friends due to feeling miserable, to finally put my health first over my outward appearance! Once I had my aha moment, the first thing I did was book a consult with Dr Bandy...I think because Dr Bandy is a women she is so much more empathetic and understanding then “other” doctors who tend to sugar coat the possible complications of implants in some women. She was honest, had positive stories to share of other explanat surgeries she had preformed which made even more convinced I was going to put my life in her delicate, perfectionist hands!! I was booked for my surgery for the following month! Admittedly I was nervous, but knowing she had already been in my body once before and my results were amazing, eased my anxiety a lot... I decided on a full capsulectomy (enbloc if everything was in tact), and a full lift.

The staff and nurses are always so sweet and genuinely interested in your happiness... The day of my surgery went super smooth, the anesthesiologist was so great, as well as OR nurses. My surgery took almost 4 hours, I woke up to my husband and a new lease on life! It’s been about 4 months since my explant surgery and I feel incredible!!

Dr Amy Bandy saved my life! My boobs look like a teenagers, you’d never know I had nursed a child, or had 3 surgeries on my breasts to date. I had almost no bruising, no drains needed, and was up the next day full of energy, I only took my pain meds for a day and a half. I was finally able to wear my wedding ring I haven’t been able to get on for a year, due to my hands being so inflamed and rash I would get! Im so happy, I wish I would have done this years ago, but this is my journey, and my story to tell... Dr Bandy and her staff are a huge party of my being able to regain my health, and my happiness, and hopefully make up for the years I lost being ill. Highly recommended!!!! <3
