I Made the Best Decision and Had an Amazing Experience

Here’s my story. I am 4 weeks post explant surgery. I had my breast implants in for a little over 19 years. After having breastfed my kids, and sagging, I wanted a lift. At that time, implants were suggested for more volume at the top of the breast. In hindsight, I would’ve only had a lift done because I really didn’t need the implants. But I can’t regret that decision now. Thankfully, I never had any issues or symptoms from the implants. I did have an idea that there is a maintenance where you should be replacing or removing them every 10 years, but I was just going to leave them alone. In this last year I started wanting to be more natural and the implants weren’t serving their purpose any longer. I wanted to do it while I’m still young and not worry about going under the knife ever again. Ironically, most women’s response was one of surprise when I said I was choosing to remove them. It’s as if it’s just normal to have implants and strange to choose to take them out. It honestly made me realize that our culture doesn’t seem to embrace natural breasts anymore. But I knew what I wanted to do. I was actually excited and looking forward to it despite the strange responses.

My choice to go with Dr. Rankin and his team was the best decision I ever made. He is an incredible surgeon and his staff is just amazing. From scheduling my consultation, to having my surgery, I have always had very positive interactions with everyone there. The staff is so helpful, informative, and kind. And when I met Dr. Rankin at my consultation I just knew I wanted him to do my surgery. I am so happy with my decision because it turned out that one of my implants was ruptured. It could’ve been worse and I am grateful. Incidentally, after my surgery, some of those same women have said that my decision has inspired them to think of removing their implants now as well. I appreciate that I could be the one to make them think differently about it. Dr. Rankin and his staff are the only ones I would recommend for that journey. I can’t thank them enough! I took my health into my own hands. Now I’m free! I have had an amazing experience and I love my results.
