Shocked by how good my boobs look - they look better than ever

I am eternally grateful to Dr. Shortt and everyone on his team, including the surgical team and the staff at Georgetown hospital. My results are better than imagined and everyone took good care of me.

I have had 2 breast surgeries prior, that were expensive and also great surgeons, so I can tell you, that this experience was much better.

Backstory:

I started to develop a lot of pain in my breast implants after 8 years of having them, so bad that sometimes it would wake me up at night and I could no longer lay on my stomach at all. Constant shoulder, neck and back pain that just would not go away. I researched doctors for two years.

The first surgeon I went for a consultation, told me I would need an explant, lift, fat transfer and liposuction on my stomach and underarms. They said that otherwise, they would look deflated and sagging and that I would have a "fat pouch" under my arms from the lift. Complete BS and I almost believed it.

Consultation:

When I went to Dr. Shortt, he gave me a completely different consultation. He said that I have plenty of breast tissue/fat, that I should not under any circumstance get a lift, because then the nipples would be set too high. Never criticized my other body parts like the first surgeon. Even though I was still a bit skeptical, I just had a good feeling about it and went with it.

AND: my surgery was covered by OHIP.

Georgetown Hospital:

Everyone was great, the nurses took good care of me!

Results:

Today I am 4 weeks post!

We did an explant with one incision at the fold (no lift, no capsulectomy) and I am shocked by how good my boobs look. They look better than ever and my scars are healing slightly differently from before as well. Previously I thought that my skin just did not scar well, but now they are light and thin and hidden in the breast fold - AMAZING! Dr.Shortt was completely right in his assessment. I might have went down one cup size (D to a C?), but they look round and perky, actually shapelier than with implants.

Bottom line: I highly recommend Dr. Shortt, he is honest, professional, truly knowledgable and skilled.
