Implant Removal- No Lift - 29 yo, no kids, no boobs, no regrets

I had an implant deflate at almost nine years. It made for an awkward six weeks as it slowly deflated, but I ultimately made the decision to remove without a lift. Initially I didn’t question getting new implants, but my boyfriend suggested the idea of just removal. I’m so thankful that he did for several reasons. The cost is outrageous for these surgeries- In Idaho, the cost for just removal (8k) was more expensive than removal and a brand new set of implants (5k). After considering the cost, pain, downtime, and future costs, I decided removal was the most reasonable option for me (although I had many internal struggles with the undetermined size of my post-removal breasts, which were AA before surgery), even though I had struggles with justifying the cost of any surgery. I don’t have it in me to pay $8000 for implants and waste my vacation time every 10 years. I hope to have kids one day and I can’t see myself paying for cosmetic surgery once I have those little burdens running around. Upon researching surgeons in other areas, I learned about local anesthetic removal, which is not an option in my city, and that made my decision easy. Extremely reasonable price ($1200), minimal downtime, and virtually no pain. I went to Utah Cosmetic Surgery in Murray, Utah and I am very pleased with my results and would highly recommend Dr. Haupt. They stated that my ego would hurt worse than the surgery and they were spot on. I even went thrift shopping an hour after surgery. The surgery took about one hour and it was a breeze. I am two weeks post surgery. Although I am very happy with my decision, I’m hoping that these ladies even out soon so I can feel “normal.” I chose to remove only implant and leave capsules, because I figured I needed all the help I could get with the size of my breasts. They are small, as expected, probably not even a B cup, but I’m very happy that I don’t have to have surgery in the future or set aside funds for another procedure. I love being able to say that I am all natural and I do still feel beautiful, even with my little ladies!

I just had mine removed on Thursday. I’m in pain did an enbloc removal with a lift. My right side hurts terribly but I had a big capsule. I’m sick now from the antibiotics which are not agreeing with me and my stomach. I spent 20,000 for the removal and lift. They were literally killing me as I had every BII symptom. I guess I didn’t think recovery would be this hard. Glad yours went well!

You sound happy and confidant with your choice. I am 71 years old pretty flat chested. As you age you will find much more important issues in life than the size of your breast. Kudos to your boyfriend for his support. He sounds like a good guy.
