How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

I wanted to share a follow-up on my explant surgery with Dr. Dev Vibhakar in Miami, which took place on July 14th.
Before making my decision, I interviewed five different surgeons—some who were BII supporters and some who weren’t. This forum was an incredible source of information and comfort throughout that process, and I’m deeply grateful for the strength and insight I found here.
For years, I brushed off many of the symptoms listed on this site. I blamed myself, thinking I just wasn’t eating clean enough, working out hard enough, or that maybe I was simply feeling the effects of getting older.
But the truth is, my health was telling a different story.
I’ve faced some significant challenges— a radical hysterectomy at 40 due to stage 4 endometriosis, Hashimoto’s with a TSH that spiked to 50 multiple times, dangerously high cortisol, and elevated platelet counts. It felt like a never-ending uphill battle.
Looking back, I see now: health is the real wealth.
I originally chose implants after retiring from competitive athletics in college. I wanted to feel more feminine once I stepped out of that world. And for a time, they gave me that.
But years later, I’ve come to understand and embrace something far more meaningful—unconditional love for the body I was given. And to my surprise, that body feels more aligned and beautiful now than I ever imagined in my younger years.
Less than a week post-surgery, I already feel a difference. My eyes are clearer, my skin is starting to recover, I can finally take deep, easy breaths, and that constant undercurrent of anxiety has lifted. I don’t have lab results yet, but I know—deeply—that my body is thanking me.
I’m so excited to get back to the things I love and to live more fully again.
To anyone considering this path, especially if you’re in Florida, I can’t recommend Dr. Dev and his team enough. His aesthetic work is excellent, but what truly sets him apart is his compassion. He held my hand as I drifted off to sleep and promised to take care of me—and he did, with sincerity and care.
Sending love to everyone on this journey. You’re not alone, and healing is possible.
