This Dr. was great, until he wasn't. I had been seeing him and had a serious complication from something which his predecessor in the practice had done. I became very ill. He sent a certified letter to me indicating that I was being dropped from his practice. I had never been a problem patient. I am certain that it was an attempt to ward off a malpractice lawsuit, which I could have brought. It's not my way to sue for malpractice. He may have received bad legal advice, but it came from him. He was cowardly and cruel when it mattered.

A silicone implant and capsule burst during a routine mammogram. I became acutely Ill within hours from a bacteria which had been inside the capsule. I had a fever, hives and was very nauseous so I went to the ER. That continued for 9 months , I was so sick and Drs couldn’t identify the culprit. Finally, an oncologist who had been reviewing old mammogram slides, phoned with an obvious bursting apparent on the film. I then had 2 explanations surgeries. The first one didn’t take out the capsule, since it was stuck to my ribs. Dr. Placik was truly horrible. I could have sued him for negligence, since he inherited my records at the practice.
