ORIGINAL POST
Explanting: unsure of Lift, 13yr unders, saline. In so much pain.
WORTH IT$6,000
So, I’ve been wanting to get these things out since day three of having them and they are now 13 years old. I started out as a small A/barely B and wanted my perkiness back after one pregnancy and a bit more fullness since I’ve always been pretty flat. Big mistake!!! Not only are they two sizes bigger than I asked for, but I’m in terrible pain all the time. They shoot pain like hot pokers and I am constantly tense and tired. Headaches and sore neck and shoulder muscles constantly, backaches, poor posture when it used to be awesome, etc. I could go on forever! I am 36 now and I have learned that I should have loved myself how I was, and not been envious of women who were naturally curvy or bigger breasted. I have been planning for this for years, and after two more pregnancies, it’s time. These boobs have fed two babies full time, and now it’s time to treat them with love. I’m sure my husband will be glad that I get them out too, because he is tired of seeing me hurting. And whining, lol. Anyway, I NEVER thought I’d post these here, but so many of you have inspired me to just do it, so if I can help even one other person it will be worth it.
Also, I have an overreleased pectoral muscle on my left side at my sternum. The double bubble is soooo ugly, and the flexing deformity I just cringe over. I am hoping that it will be less obvious after they are out?? I also have WAY too big internal pockets, so both implants slide under my muscle all the way into my armpits. As I type, my boobs ACHE. I’m so done. I have a lot of other issues, low thyroid and two autoimmune diseases but it’s probably just genetic...
I am scared to get a lift done, but I am also scared to not get a lift. What do y’all think?? I have seen some awesome results but my surgeon said I have so little tissue left that they would be flat pancakes. Ugh. My husband is happy with whichever I choose, and I really don’t want to make a mistake. You can’t undo a lift, but you can do one a year later! I’m posting here, because I’m going to need friends to get me through this, too, so if you’re going through it or about to or are already explanted, say hi!!!! Xoxo

I think you'll be so much happier after they're removed. Happy healing!

Appointment set for 12/6!!!
I’m SO incredibly excited!!! I just booked both my pre-op and surgery dates for my explant and lift! I absolutely trust my doctor to help me get the best results possible and I’m so thankful that I knew about him from working in the same building before! He has zero staff turnover and that says a lot!! I sometimes think the hardest part is picking a surgeon who is an artist, as well as a board certified professional that is a leader in his field AND highly regarded by all of his patients and staff. I’m totally picky, lol. He is also THE nicest person ever! I have looked at just about a billion boobies on this app, and his before and afters are simply amazing. My pre-op is on Nov 16th, and my Free The Ta-Ta’s date is Dec 6th. I’m so happy that I have cried twice!! It’s been really hard financially for the last few years, because my husband just started a new business and that takes a lot of our finances. Thank goodness I started with SeneGence when I did, because I’m paying to get these toxic bags out with my LipSense money!! Woohoo!!! Freedom because of lipstick!
I am also such a wimp when it comes to surgery and this will be my third. Hopefully I’ll never have to do it again! My first surgery, I was young and smoked a single cigarette right before surgery because I was stupid. My surgeon knew I smoked but didn’t tell me I couldn’t. I woke up in a dim room with seven nurses around me, curtains around my bed drawn tightly closed and they yanked a tube from my throat as I woke up. Then one of the interns said “you almost had pulmonary edema!!! You almost died!!” and another nurse pushed her through the curtains and told her to hush! Craziness. I literally almost died. Needless to say, I’m not a smoker anymore and I have learned that lesson!
I have to stop taking Advil, my multivitamin, vitamin C gummies, fish oil, and turmeric. I’m actually on day 2 of a Whole 30 round, so I’m just going to continue the Whole 30 until I’m done recovering. Who knows, maybe it’ll help me heal faster!? I am still allowed to take my marine collagen powder, thank goodness. I want to be the best patient, so I’m trying not to overlook anything. I’ll be given one compression bra by the doctor’s office, but I’ll need to get a few more on my own. I am making a list of things I need, so if y’all have any ideas I’d love to hear them!

P.S. I had to lose 50lbs before scheduling the surgery, and I’m 15-20away from my high school weight. I’m not going to do any upper body workouts for a while, but I can’t wait to get back to it!
October 24, 2017
Congratulations on the weight loss! That’s not easy! I’m getting an explant and lift on 1/22/18. I had to schedule it far in advance in order to get time off of work. It’s nerve wracking and I’m scared but I’m also looking forward to being natural again. I think about all the cute bralettes and nice clothes I can wear again and it makes me happy. Good luck and keep us posted.

Yay for scheduling a date!! It’s exciting, isn’t it? I’m scared too, but I am in so much pain from the implants stretching and pulling on my pockets that I just don’t care about the actual surgery fears I have anymore. You can do it!!!
October 23, 2017
I keep thinking of more to add, lol.
My stats: 5” 10”
Had kiwi sized lump removed from areola incision in right breast 2004,
I was an A/Barely b, and super droopy before original BA of 400/425cc smooth saline under the muscle. 155lbs at time of implant. In hind sight I should’ve just gotten a lift.
Currently 180lbs, goal weight is 165lbs, but I usually level out at about 170lbs now that I’m not starving myself.
My goals for the explant are perky and natural in shape, and I’m prepared/excited to be flat. I just want to be able to wear a bralette or no bra and not look super saggy or super fake. I don’t have a lot of actual breast tissue, especially where the lump was removed on the right, so I’m glad I’m going with the lift or I would probably end up with flat droopy pankcakes. My implant pockets were made so big that the implant slides into my armpits/side all the way when I lie down. It even goes into my armpits/side when I have seatbelt pressure on them. Gross.
Eeek, I’m so excited that it’s finally happening!!! Sometimes you just have to put your foot down and say that there will never be a good time for major surgery, and that being in constant pain all day is more inconvenient. I am Worth the time it takes to do this! ☺️

Congrats on scheduling your explant date! Sounds like your ready to be done with this chapter of your life! May I ask, why do you have to stop your multi-vitamin? Wouldn’t that help build you up and aid in healing? Before my sx my PS had me double up on them and add Vit C. It’s interesting how each PS has their own ways. I pray everything works out, I pray for a speedy recovery and pray for happiness. :) Keep us posted and I look forward to following your journey!

Well, mine has more “holistic” ingredients and I don’t want to play around with it. A normal one they said is fine, but mine has vitamin e and turmeric, which they said interferes with healing. I also (only just read) saw that too much vitamin c can mess with anesthesia, and since I am a red head I don’t want to make it any more complicated that it would be already. And thank you so so much!!

October 24, 2017
Fabulous to know when you'll be free of these things!
As for the Vit C, turmeric and Vitamin E (also A if you take it) the reason surgeons ask you to stop before surgery is because these supplements thin your blood and make haemorrhage during surgery much more likely. Garlic too is a no-no! My doctor told me to stop taking supplements for 2 weeks before surgery, and luckily there were no problems.
When you're explanted there's a large raw space where the implants were, which has to re-adhere to the chest wall etc. You need to avoid the space filling up with blood and serum (usually by using compression and drains), and anything that thins the blood can prolong the bleeding. You still have many weeks before your op, and have time to build and strengthen yourself beforehand, and take your supplements, but maybe lay off a week or two before your surgery

Haha, I'm sorry if I sound like a schoolteacher but I am one and there's always more to learn! Your doctor sounds wonderful, especially with his holistic approach
October 24, 2017
No worries!! I need all the info I can get, so thank you!! I’m especially nervous about the pocket healing, because my pockets are HUGE. It turns out I am not going to have as much support for healing time afterwards, so I’m nervous about driving the kids to & from school. Did you have a lift fivercat?

October 24, 2017
Hi, no and I was amazed that I didn't need one- thought I'd be flipping and flopping , haha! Mine were 40 years old, both had extracapsular ruptures, had breastfed 4 bubs and I'm 61. I thought that having a total capsulectomy would leave me with nothing but apparently there's advantages to being 10kgs overweight!
The criteria for needing a lift (apart from worry about how your breasts will look) seems to be if the nipples end up lower than the fold under the breast crease. I can totally understand ladies wanting a lift but am really glad I didn't need one as the scarring is usually extensive and recovery longer- plus I couldn't afford it anyway! Are you going to have a lift at explant, or wait and see how your breasts settle ?

Lucky!! Mine is past the crease, so lift for sure. I’m going to do it at the explant time, because I don’t want to have to recover twice

New Surgery date!! 11/8
I just moved up my appointment date!! After being hyper-aware of the pain that these things are causing me and not having a decent day for weeks, I just called to see if they had anything sooner. There isn’t any time in the day when my muscles don’t ache and my chest doesn’t hurt, so I am excited to only be two weeks away from being free!!! Nov 8th is my new date! Hopefully this will keep me from being too nervous leading up to my surgery day! Yay!!

Very happy for you! I just had my toxic bags removed a month ago and it took me every bit of a month to be somewhat healed. It's so worth it! Just remind yourself there will be good and bad days. Congrats to you!
October 26, 2017
Thank you! How are you feeling? I just checked out your review and you look great!

October 26, 2017
Fabulous news, you must be so happy! You should be all healed by Christmas time, which is a bonus. It’s great to see how much the breasts change over time- I’m 6 weeks out, and starting to firm up a little already. You will feel and look beautiful!
I’m in Australia, but if you need any cyber-help, just ask! We’re here for you xx
October 26, 2017
Oh that’s awesome! I’m glad you’re doing well! It’s crazy to think I will have so many stitches, that’s probably the scariest part for me. When I had mine placed they ent through my armpit, so I actually don’t have any scars. Even my lumpectomy is only an inch long scar around the edge of my areola. I just have to keep telling myself that this will be my last elective surgery and that it will be over soon. If I think about the details too much, I get light headed and feel like I could pass out. I’m so so thankful that I will have help from my husband, Mom and sister while I heal! I do not want to pop a seam

Hi, how are you feeling now, with only a week to go?!! It’s a major change (and a great one!) especially with all the pain complications you’re having. Just think- soon you’ll be well on your way to health and renewed vitality!!
I’m 7 weeks po, and I still can’t believe how soft and warm my boobs feel. There’s still some aching and twinges of pain, which is understandable given The extracapsular ruptures and total capsulectomy, but it’s bearable and so worth it. I feel more authentic and like a real woman, haha!
Please give us an update when you can, and let us know how you’re doing xx

I was a small A cup and went to a B cup with small silicone overs, and had them in for 40 years!! Breastfed 4 children (7 years total) and gained 15 kilos over time. The pain, inconvenience and health consequences of having implants are enough to go through without subjecting your body to further surgery, apart from explant. You don't have to decide straight away!
Best of luck to you!
