I’ve been very happy since I had my implants removed, but I’ve also been focusing on resting and healing like a good patient. I’ll post more later, but they are cute and little and mine! He and his entire staff have been amazing from start to finish, plus he did an amazing job. Love it! I’m a wuss when it comes to pain, so I’m trying to take it easy. It’s been 9 days, so I’ll have the drains out around day 14ish. Totally okay with that because then all the fluid goes out. Better out than in, Shrek says. Lol ????

I haven’t ever regretted taking them out, not even for a second. You won’t either!! It’s so much better to be free of having something stuck inside my body that I just didn’t want. Don’t let it get to you, because I felt the same way! I was even so worried that it was all going to be okay, that I called my surgeons office and my surgeon himself called me back to talk. He reassured me that everything would go well, that I’d be happier without my old implants and just being myself again. I was so worried about the actual technical portions of the procedure because I had a really bad original augmentation, but when you have the right surgeon it just all works out. He took the time to explain everything to me, sometimes a few times because, well, I was panicked. Lol. When do you explant??

You look great for so early on, like you already have nice roundness to the contour and it will keep getting better:) mine were super scary at first but I think I can live with them now...glad you're feeling well and here's to fast healing!

I don’t know how we missed each other earlier n as I had my explanation 11/9/17. Yours look great, very symmetrical and well done. I did not get a lift and am lopsided. Regardless, I’m much happier with those painful toxic bags out. My health is better, too. Congratulations!

Less than a day and a half until I proudly rejoin the Itty Bitty [RS bleep] Committee!!! I’m nervous, excited, and so emotional about everything today. I’m just ready to be on the lighter side and back to myself again. Everything is prepped, and now I’m just finishing up the laundry and doing the last minute dusting & cleaning. I keep having dreams about the day or the surgery which is stressful because I’m always late or I’ve eaten something that morning and then it gets cancelled. I’m just praying that everything goes smoothly and I can finally be on the road to recovery. Here’s a picture of my expected size and shape, according to my surgeon. I’ll update as soon as they’re out!

I am considering taking out my saline implants. I had silicone when I was in my early 20's... I'm 54 now. Had them reduced down to 250cc recently, and still think they are too big, so pretty sure, if I'm getting cut again, I just want them out. I had gone in to do that on the last round and the doctor talked me out of it. He filled the 250 cc implants to like 290 I think. I am 5'8" and weigh about 150... he kept saying I needed a little because of my height. I honestly am 99% sure I want them out completely. I am scheduled for consultation on 11/21 and he plans to drain the saline, then go in the next day and remove the implants. He mentioned leaving the scar tissue to help with size. What's your opinion on that? Hoping your surgery goes smoothly and with minimal recovery time!

No!!! Don’t drain them first! If they have leaking valves, you could be contaminated with mold or yeast, and don’t leave the capsule in because it won’t ever go away and needs to come out. My doctor is removing the anterior portion next to my pectoral muscles, and then cauterizing the posterior portion that’s attached to my rib cage and then making hundreds of popcorn holes in it so that it is raw and my muscle can reattach to my chest. Do more research and I am glad you’re standing up for yourself and getting them out! Who wants to have surgery every ten years until they die?! Mine hurt SO much and they are almost 13 years old. I’m way over having big boobs

These were only in for a year and are saline, i had wanted to take the old ones out and he convinced me to just go smaller, which i did, but didn't think these were small enough either. I haven't had any leaks and wouldn't think there would be mold issues since they are so new. He was proposing deadening the area, before using a syringe (I think) to drain the implants, so that I could see how I'll look without them, to confirm I don't want to put anything back. I am 99.9999% sure I don't, but did like the idea of being able to see before being put under. My breasts are not super firm, and he suggested it gives you a little extra size to leave the capsules in. I'll do more research before then... but thanks for the response and good luck with yours! I am way over big boobs too! Wish I could go back to my super small, perky set before all this!

If I could look like the picture he said you can expect to look like, I would be thrilled. Good luck and best wishes. I hope you turn out 10 x better than you can even imagine.

New Surgery date!! 11/8

User Avatar

I just moved up my appointment date!! After being hyper-aware of the pain that these things are causing me and not having a decent day for weeks, I just called to see if they had anything sooner. There isn’t any time in the day when my muscles don’t ache and my chest doesn’t hurt, so I am excited to only be two weeks away from being free!!! Nov 8th is my new date! Hopefully this will keep me from being too nervous leading up to my surgery day! Yay!!

Very happy for you! I just had my toxic bags removed a month ago and it took me every bit of a month to be somewhat healed. It's so worth it! Just remind yourself there will be good and bad days. Congrats to you!

Fabulous news, you must be so happy! You should be all healed by Christmas time, which is a bonus. It’s great to see how much the breasts change over time- I’m 6 weeks out, and starting to firm up a little already. You will feel and look beautiful! I’m in Australia, but if you need any cyber-help, just ask! We’re here for you xx

Oh that’s awesome! I’m glad you’re doing well! It’s crazy to think I will have so many stitches, that’s probably the scariest part for me. When I had mine placed they ent through my armpit, so I actually don’t have any scars. Even my lumpectomy is only an inch long scar around the edge of my areola. I just have to keep telling myself that this will be my last elective surgery and that it will be over soon. If I think about the details too much, I get light headed and feel like I could pass out. I’m so so thankful that I will have help from my husband, Mom and sister while I heal! I do not want to pop a seam

Hi, how are you feeling now, with only a week to go?!! It’s a major change (and a great one!) especially with all the pain complications you’re having. Just think- soon you’ll be well on your way to health and renewed vitality!!
I’m 7 weeks po, and I still can’t believe how soft and warm my boobs feel. There’s still some aching and twinges of pain, which is understandable given The extracapsular ruptures and total capsulectomy, but it’s bearable and so worth it. I feel more authentic and like a real woman, haha!
Please give us an update when you can, and let us know how you’re doing xx
