3 Months Post Explant

WORTH IT$2,800
Here I am three months post Explant and feeling wonderful. I don’t know that my breast have fluffed up much but I’m extremely happy with how they look. I don’t experience night sweats or hot flashes as much as I did when I had them and my anxiety is still gone. This will likely be my last update as I don’t anticipate much changing. Please let me know if I can answer any questions you may have about implants or explanting.

5 Week Follow Up After Explanting

minics13
I went to my last follow up appointment for at least six more weeks and was cleared to start riding the stationary bike again. In on more week I can go back to working out. Hallelujah!
It doesn’t seem like my breast have come up that much more since the last time I was there but I’m thrilled with how they look like now. Dr. Boswell said I can expect them to lift up a little bit more. The initial lift when I got my implants worked and made them look better than pre implants and lift. Super happy with my decision . Dr Boswell did an excellent job and really is a wonderful doctor.

Thank you so much so taking the time and sharing your experience.

How was the recovery process? I have my consult in April for implant removal.
February 24, 2022
Because I had them removed under local and did not remove the capsules i didn't have any real pain. I took the pain medicine for the first day. Woke up on the second day and felt great. Easier than having a cavity filled. I've had them out for two months and feel great. Everything is fully healed and I'm back to working out. All the best with your removal.

Thank you!!! I have only had them since November, but I hate them. The weight of them is not comfortable and I feel my anxiety has skyrocketed since the surgery.

I'm so sorry. I was the same. The moment I woke up from surgery I knew I had made a huge mistake. I gave it time like everyone suggested, which turned into six long years. They never felt part of me. I wish I would have gotten them out sooner. I feel so much lighter and can breathe better. My anxiety is also gone. I have this theory that the reason women experience anxiety is because it's hard to get a deep breath. Do you have silicone or saline?
February 25, 2022
I have silicone 385cc. I was a deflated DD to DDD after pregnancy. Requested a reduction and was told I needed a lift w/aug. Stupidity got the best of me and I trusted what I was told. I've given all the time I'm going to give. I hate them. Can't wait to have my deflated chest back. I've already had the lift so they should still be better as far as less saggy

I had the same cc's as you but saline. You may ask the doctor if you can do it under local anesthesia and save yourself a load of money. Because you've had them for such a short time, the capsule around your implant is probably nonexistent. I know with Saline implants don't make the body create as thick of a capsule. you haven't had them that long so you might be able to get them done for less than 3K under local which is a breeze. I also had a lift originally and my breast look better than they did pre-implants. I should've just had the lift but I also let the doctor talk me into implants because he said I had too much extra skin and needed them. If I would have known it was possible to explant under local, I would have one this the first year I got them like you. Wishing you ll the best. Come back and let me know how your explant went.

Hi! You look amazing! Just wondering how you’re doing another month out? I am scheduled to see a doctor in a week regarding an explanation. I’m a bit nervous but I think I’m ready for them to go!
March 2, 2022
Thank you! I'm doing GREAT! My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. It's so nice to have soft breast again. I had forgotten what that feels like. My last follow-up appointment is approaching on March 7th. Removing them under local definitely made for a fast recovery. Are you wanting to remove yours under local? If so, please do not worry. It is by far the easiest procedure I've ever had.

Ho there. Thank yiu fir sharing your experience. Was there much pain or stress to have it done under local since yiu are awake for the whole procedure? Could you drive yourself home? I want to explant but worried about pain or anxiety if I do it with local anesthesia. I'm also worried about leaving any capsul in, if I have them. I do have saline implants, going on over 5 years now. I'm afraid of bill, I do think I have some of the symptoms but not totally sure.
June 23, 2022
BTW, you look great. I don't see any scars from your lift. Dud yiu have lollipop lift?

Hi! Thank you for your response! I saw my doctor and he suggested keeping a small implant? Did you need drains? Was your doctor worried about nipple sensation? Ugh, I don’t know what to do now. I wanted them out but now I wonder if just going small would be better? He said only 150cc. Did your doctor suggest anything like this?
March 9, 2022
Hi! No, my doctor did not suggest an implant and even if he did I would have refused because I hated my implants and don't wish to put my body through any further surgeries. I'm loving my natural breast. I did not have drains but I removed under local and left my thin capsule because having the capsules removed is invasive.

I’m impressed how well my breast tissue has contracted. I suppose I had imagined the worst possible scenario which was excessive sagging. I’m 50 years old for reference. I’m surprised I still have breast. Looking forward o getting back to the gym and yoga. I’m so happy!

Did you have any breast implants illness symptoms or did you also remove the capsule?
February 15, 2022
I did not remove the capsules because I had saline implants and my capsules are very thin. Removing the capsules is a much more complicated surgery and not one that my doctor felt I needed. I had done prior research and didn't want to have the capsules removed so it was a relief to hear i didn't need the capsule removed. My surgery was done under local anesthesia. I didn't think I had breast implant illness but since removing them my anxiety has subsided and I no longer get numbing in my hands which was likely due to them pinching a nerve.

Thank you for sharing your journey. I am almost 7 months post implants and have developed extremely self-noticeable joint swelling & pain (hands, fingers mostly) and all around inflammation. My face feels puffier but I can definitely see it around the eye area. I am also considering removal under local anesthesia since it’s only going on 7 months since I had them placed but am doubtful about it since the capsules would not be removed & am wondering whether my symptoms would be alleviated. However, reading your story, I think I will give it a go and if symptoms persist and/or get worse I can then consider going back and having a more extensive procedure to remove capsules. In any event, I think the important thing for me right now is to just get them out for now. Again, thank you for sharing and may you continue to heal effortlessly.

I think that's a great plan. It's not likely that your capsule is thick with them being so new. My doctor said the saline implants tend to have a thinner capsule. Mine were not thick at all after 6 years. I hope you find relief once they are removed. My joint pain, anxiety, and numb arm are better after having them removed. Wishing you all the best! Local removal is easy peasy and far less expensive. I didn't even have to take off from work except for the day of procedure. Good luck!
