Explant & implant experience - I cannot thank Cormac enough for fixing my breasts

I attended Cormac earlier this year following my breast augmentation with a different surgeon the year before. The implants from my first surgery had fallen out of place, known as “bottoming out”. The first surgeon was not willing to fully correct my implants so I was referred to Cormac Joyce by the avoca clinic. Cormac knew straight away that my implants had “bottomed out” and they both had to be removed.

He suggested that this was as a result of using smooth implants instead of textured ones. I had my implants removed under local anaesthetic which was a painless but slightly unusual feeling. Within weeks they looked exactly how they did before surgery. After 3 months of having the implants out I was back in the avoca clinic having new implants put back in however this time they were textured implants and were positioned over the muscle.

I have little breast tissue and was skeptical of going over the muscle but Cormac explained they would sit better than under the muscle which they definitely do. I stayed overnight in the avoca clinic as my surgery was late that night and I was so well looked after by the nurses they really are a credit to the clinic. My recovery went well and I was reviewed again by Dr Joyce some time later and he was as happy with the results as I am.

I have received tons of compliments on how natural they look and I feel so comfortable now after having such a bad experience the first time which left me more self conscious of my chest before I had implants. I cannot thank Cormac enough for fixing my breasts and giving me the result I had always wanted. For reference I’m 5’9, 69kg and had 350cc round implants, bringing me to a 34D.
